I'm surprised he felt the need to say that stuff about Rafael particularly when the "facts" episode distracted considerable attention away from him being up in court. It just feels like he's angry with Rafael for not giving him the arm around the shoulder treatment he was always used to with Houllier.

On the released portions of it at least, that book just sounds like a plea for Yanks II to give him that job - Hodgson gently dismissed, Rodgers encouraged to be the England manager, the only conceivable rival (in his mind at least) snided, Stevie insisting he can pass on his 27 years of loyalty and service and loyal service to the club in whatever senior coaching role they feel free to offer him.
