So what they're saying is:
Christian Benteke is the missing piece of the jigsaw ?
That they're going to win the league now.
Correct?
To be fair he could be.. When you look at it, they would of been premier league champions a couple of seasons ago, but they were too distracted winning the various other important leagues they do each year.
They made it extra tough on themselves last season by adding, and of course winning the ... if only English players scored... league.. and suffered for it.
This wasn't on their list of priorities previous years, and combined with the usual passing, shots from outside the area and of course the unforgettable, neutrals choice leagues (poll results not relevant to their victory on that one), proved just too much this time round.
Fortunately for them the use of Origi and now Benteke shows a clear signal they are dropping this English players trophy in order to concentrate on just winning RAWKS alternative league, hitting par, finishing third in the league and subsequently winning the.. most positive book titles published about failure in a season.. league.
So it may well be the case that Benteke is the missing piece a puzzle that just can't be solved, but every combination of pieces seems to make a picture of a cult chasing Rodgers out of Anfield.
