Milner is a good signing for them, no doubt about it, I hope it falls through.

However, on his own he will not improve them significantly. They still need a lot more quality recruits to even dream of top four.

Think he's a good player, but think this underated thing is a bit of a stretch. He's been signed by some pretty big teams, had god knows how many caps for England and is constantly praised in the media.

Yeah he moved to City for 26m, I know its City, but players that move for that sort of money arent really underated.

underated may be the wrong word...... under appreciated may be more applicable.... the kind of player you miss when he's not there

Similar to us with Lescott,we ended up with £24 million wasn't it?he was probably worth £12-15 million at the time,City know the score as soon as they register an interest they get screwed, good player Milner but IMHO he wasn't worth that amount back then.

Good example of the financial gap between merseyside clubs. We could never even dream of paying that kind of wages.

Milner you bad kopite. Osman will destroy you in the derby..

Seems strange that City are off loading all these home grown players tho.

That Boyata to Celtic and now it looks like Milner, coupled with Rodwell last time, surely they must be close to the limit now?

I agree with your point, like he has been very good for City and has outlasted and kept his position over some of their flashier players.
Is that what you mean?
I just think a lot f what he offers goes unnoticed by many... he's arguably one of the fittest players in the league even at his age now, the work he does both on and off the ball , his versatility, attitude... just a very good player who would benefit any team he signs for, never gonna be a game changer on his own but an important cog in a bigger wheel.
