still buzzing off ferris bueller's mate behind the banner in his little green anorak there

@ijjysmith, isn't that ferris bueller's mate there ?

It wasn't just Suarez though, the fact they prepared for one game per week and not two like Chelsea and City was crucial.

With that fair wind behind them and the record number of pens it was almost impossible not to go close, despite having that gormless manager in charge.

It is funny though. Any competent manager would have seen them get over the line......if he manages to con the yanks into letting him stay then FSG will be in deep crap.......

It was Mourinho's first season back in the PL; Pellegrini's first season in charge of City; ginger bollocks busy destroying United; a record number of injuries for Arsenal; Suarez having the season of his career; 12 pens; 94 yellow or red cards shown to their opponents; one game per week to prepare for....

Let's face it...the ball was on the penalty spot, the goalie was standing by the corner flag and they hoofed it over the bar.

No, the ball was definately by the corner flag:

It was the perfect storm last year. What you say, plus Utd being rubbish as well, blessed with a decent injury record, and he still mucked it up.

Plus they had that first half against arsenal, we didn't turn up at the barn neither & who the frig gets THREE penalties at old trafford?

Only them. The season before I think they only beat one top 8 side. Last season (Or the one before as it is now) they had just about everything go in their favour; including the obligatory dodgy decisions - but when push came to shove they were found out as the pretentious frauds they are.

Great :)

Let's not forget when they were getting dodgy penalty after dodgy penalty to win tight games the only person who dared speak out was the special one.

In the run in they won 11 on the spin and only needed a draw against Chelsea to keep it in their own hands. A game they were in full control of until slippy fell on his arse and gave it to Demba Ba...

And even if they beat Palace, it still wasn't in their own hands. (unless they got a rugby score)

So don't think you can blame Brenda for 'not getting them over the line'

That's made me feel a lot better.
