Mass fume on Twitter after Ward's article. I honestly don't see it, he's either the top talent in Europe or he's not. Why would he stay at a club not in the Champions League, who have lost their best player last Summer and their club talisman this? He can easily get the same money elsewhere and no one can guarantee he'll fail at a different club just because Rodwell etc. did.
I've said it before, that kind of player has a shorter lifespan at their peak, so he needs to make the right moves now. Ward is spot on, if he stays they'll turn on him again in 2 years when he asks to leave. The club hung him out to dry as a money grabbing, 'legal high' youngster too soon, surely all their bridges are burnt now and he's off.

Unless that's what they wanted all along and it's just a good way of playing down being a selling club.
