ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Yep. And though it is a bit of a cliche, there is not one player who has any real idea what it, (the club) means to the city based supporters. I never really liked Dalgish as a bloke, long before he was manager, but he got the connection with the club and the city. He takes a lot of grief on here, but his work after Hillsborough was outstanding.

Just cant see that sort of connection anymore. Certainly not with that idiot manager they have.

Yeah you could see it when they did their lap of honour, all strutting around with no regard for the fans and Rodgers looking like a lost puppy. There'll be a lot of movement in and out there this summer but FSG haven't got a good track record on transfers and it could break them this time with the stadium plans. It looks a bit like QPR with agents circling smelling a big payday for their average players.

Like I said their rudderless with absent owners really and no one in charge with any experience or vision. Funny really.

"All supporters, of whatever persuasion, should acknowledge we are witnessing the departure of a true legend of English football, not least because, like John Terry at Chelsea and Gary Neville at Manchester United, Steven Gerrard has been a one-club man.

"Don't expect to see too many more of their ilk."

A one club man that will have played for 2 clubs. You're right Alan, we won't see many of them

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "In my time here we have lost two players who have played 700 games in Jamie Carragher and now Steven. They have been monumental players for this club and you throw in losing a world-class player like Luis Suarez. This is the challenge but we have to rise to it."

Translation. IT ISNT MY FAULT.

I've said it before, if creasehead had played for anyone else, we wouldn't have had the media love - in we're seeing now.

Like the way Rodgers has to make it about him.

on the contrary. How many other Managers have lost multiple 700+ appearance players in such a short time?

lol yep he can't help but bring Suarez into it. When he's manager of Doncaster in about 6 years time he will still be going on about losing Suarez. He chose to stop picking Carragher so he retired and he chose not to offer no fod Gerrard the dollar he wanted to stay. Come on FSG give the man another 200m to piss away ;)
