we are witnessing the denouement of LFC as a world power brand. Given it's 70/80's derived inertia, it was always going to take at least a generation to initiate derailing the 'legendary reds' juggernaut.
The denouement will be a drawn out process, but the end is inevitable...5th to 10th league placing obscurity and the odd cup will be all in store for LFC going forward...forever.
I guesstimate that the plastic fans/Norwegians leave in droves by 2020. The rabid local kopites behaviour will return to a non-entitled normality by 2030-2035.
Slowly, many will appear human again, as they are released from the wicked enchantment that has long held pernicious thrall over them.
By 2040, some will even, once again, appear regular folk , people you might share a pint with....
