tbf, they couldn't attract top players after finishing 2nd with a bottomless pit of cash this summer. if rodgers goes a lot of managers would find it hard to get this team top half - especially with gerrard not their to bully refs and sterling possibly not there.

Sturridge has 3 goals in 10 games in premier league. Simply not that great without Suarez.

He has been eased back into the team so most of the appearances have been from the bench.

True he hasnt been banging them in since he returned, time will tell if he is a great striker or one that bounced off another. I do have the feeling, based on my opinion of him since bolton days that he is actually good

Good but will never be world class. Would have got out of the world cup group if Rooney had played upfront rather than Sturridge. Mind you would have helped if Gerrard Henderson and Sterling hadn't played as well.
