Brendan Rodgers has criticised the Premier League for failing to ensure English teams in the Europa League are protected domestically as he admitted that Manchester City will be in far better shape when they face each other on Sunday.

But if they were playing Monday night i imagine that would be a problem too. what does he want exactly? I think for professional footballers they are getting enough of a favour being allowed to play Sunday because they have played on the thursday to be honest.

And City were given the runaround by barcelona, liverpool will probably easily get through against what looked like a very poor team. Even with match fitness and confidence wise city will be knackered still.
