ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Should know better than to get into it with you, really, Dave, but... Who've they actually bought yet who'll improve them on last season?

Borini? Don't make me laugh.

I agree with you about us, it'll be more of the same I've almost no doubt, but I don't see the sh1te doing anything much either, as things stand.

They turn over a new leaf and reshuffle the pack. The future isn't written. That's the point.

Us? We have more of the same for this season and the forseeable seasons ahead. 17 years without a trophy; 13 years of Kenwright at the helm; coming up for 11 years of Moyes as manager. Scores on the doors = a big **** all. And no one at all would bet against that atrocity turning into 20 years trophyless and Kenwright and Moyes cosily in their positions 16 and 13 years respectively.

It's a joke. Other clubs our size would have exploded in a frenzy of anger by now.

This is honestly going to happen, and people will still clap clap clap.

Plucky old Everton eh?

i agree with davek in that it certainly is nowhere near good enough for our massive club, something really should be done about it, i despise kenwright and with the greatest respect, the only way i can see our situation is if he drops ill, we've had this argument on GOT plenty of times though so i'd rather not go into it.

however, i think i'd be even more depressed if we had all that money and blew it on absolute garbage like hendersen, adam and downing. what rodgers is buying is not strengthening them, if he replaces agger with williams it will be the icing on the case. when you see arsenal spending the same amount on cazarola than liverpool are paying for joe allen (a player who wouldn't even get in our team) then all you can do is laugh. i honestly don't think they have strengthened, they have got rid of players like maxi, kuyt and aquilani, players who could have all done/could do a good job for them.

things aren't great for us but they could be worse, have to try and look at the positives and get behind the boys rather than being negative, at least we're not a pompey, however, this is in no way a criticism of davek's post, he is spot on.

"financial realities" could see him go - aka KKK blew the budget on absolute shoite otherwise agger would have been playing at a successful club. loving the 1st comment, "AGGER got a huge Liverpool tattoo oh his knuckles 4 days ago...strange decission if he is planning on leaving?"

how do you get a huge tattoo on your nuckles? nuckles are tiny ffs

I am starting to worry about the ownership we have, we spent over a £100 million a year ago on average players and now we have no money??? owners should have been a bit more responsible with the budget. There most worrying thing is that I think we only need around £50 million to challenge for a top 4 position and if the owners can't invest that then we have some worrying times ahead! We miss you Rapha!!!!

Agree about us, even said so in my post. They seem to get more sh1te and more unstable with every reshuffle though. I don't really envy them.

I like the way the owners get the blame and not KKK. They said last year they only needed £50m to be challenging for the top 4. Its everyones fault but there own.

£15m on Joe Allen haha, have they not learnt there lesson. I hope Agger goes and they replace him with Ashley Williams; it'll be Swansea MK2 at Analfield

except swansea have actually improved their squad so far. liverpool are weakening their squad IMO. if we had a manager, despite his hero status, who blew the money the way KKK did, i would be fuming, an utter tool and yet they're too blind to see it. most of them asking for rodgers' head already, before even a chance

ha, umm, ha, umm seriously?

seriously?

i mean seriously?

does that even make sence? does that mean they'll boo their own player as a way of complimenting him?
why hasn't anyone asked their stance on kick racism out of football?

ah, i understand now, when we booed rooney it was because we were scared of him, not because he left us. this has raised my awareness on why fans boo players now, it's because they are scared

On one occasion (I think he was still at Liverpool but was under pressure but I might be wrong) , a few of the players were sat at the training ground and Benitez came on the telly and when Gerard walked in looked at the screen and said "go on let me guess he's telling everyone how f**king brilliant he is.. [Poor language removed]" . I think the RS fans get themselves caught up in how brilliant he was and how loved he was, he didn't even get near the shortlist when Dalglish went and keep in mind Martinez topped that list initially.

When he was first at Anfield Benitez wouldn't even speak to the players if it wasn't at training and if they were injured would barely acknowledge them . when the RS hear that they say "Shanks was the same" but the difference is when it went wrong for him in his last few months Benitez lost a lot of whatever respect he had from the players as all of a sudden he wanted their input and their views, as he floundered knowing he'd made a balls of it in between guaranteeing a top four finish he wouldn't stop interacting with his senior players and I'm told they thought he was a knob for doing it.

I think he's a decent manager nothing else, there is a reason why he hasn't had a job for 2 years!!. i would like to see him go back there if rodgers doesnt succeed, their disillusion in thinking he'll win the title will be a sight. he'll fail miserably as well
