i think they'll really struggle but definately not getting my hopes up yet. gerrard's aim of top 4 in the media was stupid and embarassing. it was such a maronic thing to say for a club captain, they have a very inexperienced and like you said average squad. they won't be in deep **** because of their financial position, then again they cant sell all those players they spunked money on for good prices. i will be shocked if they qualify for europe again next season though, top 4 is already well out of reach, even if they make the goals bigger or whatever they hope for.
