I think Rodgers will get away with a gash season this year. It'll be blamed on the injuries.

It's alright lad.

Gerrard will save their season.

You can never get enough of the Gerrard gifs. His smugness in success just makes all of his failures so funny. The huddle, the we go again, the slip, the goal chase against Palace, the collapse, the tears on the pitch, the Andy and Stewart will do it for us moment, the realisation. Absolutely hilarious from start to finish. They've been no fun this season.

Don't forget Joe Cole is as good as Messi.

That was the funniest thing in football. The two players they'd mocked and ridiculed relentlessly since they left, they were now expecting favours from them. "Big Andy will leap up in the 89th minute and score the winner" was a shout from a rs relative on Facebook. Any other set of fans and I'd be pretty sure it was an ironic joke, but with it being them you just know they actually expected that

The media were hoping for it as well. Countless pages of how 'it will be difficult for City to win both home games' 'Carrol can be unplayable' and the best of the lot...'City dont have experience of winning titles'. As though somehow Liverpool's 18 decades ago counts for more in modern title races than City's success two seasons ago.

I still can't believe it all came crashing down, but when it did there has been nothing funnier in football.
