Of course they don't

But if Liverpool offered more money than Real it seems silly to think a player wouldn't consider going to them, especially if they have CL football to offer

Arsenal probably offered similar money for Sanchez as Liverpool did but if Liverpool had offered 50K or even 100K more a week, I'm pretty certain he would have gone

It's all about the money really

Im in the opposite corner to that tbh as I think regarding the above bits in bold, it doesn't.....and its not. The whole Suarez situation was much more than them simply losing their world class striker/points magnet and the fiasco of the knock-on circus around it. The collateral damage for the RS was that Suarez's blatant long time courtship of the move away laid down a massive marker regarding their 'cachet' in world football and was basically a wake-up call. The penny must surely drop with them that they are getting the knock back from talented players globally..."if Suarez wants to clear off ...why should I join them ? " and their recent qualification for CL football has I think come too late to act as bait for some already minted players who can ultimately cherry-pick and choose who, what, when, where, why regardless of the dosh involved.

New signings:
Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Markovic, Manquillo, Moreno, Can, Origi,

Returning signings:
Coates, Borini, Reina

That's some extra strain on wages! But they've got no money.

To be honest lids I'm really starting to feel for them here, they're like the ugly fella at the end of the disco, knocked back by everyone and starting to look a bit desperate.

Shall we lend them Kone?

Ive got a large bevvy and butties on the go waiting for the headline "Rodgers claims rumours that Dean Windass talks have irreparably broken down are wide of the mark".

Ha Ha Ha. PMSL at that in the Metro

Cavani heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal....Arsenal can offer him the capital city, a manager who is revered all over the world, consistent Champions League football, one of the best stadiums in the planet and a side which is definitely on the up after a long period in the post-stadium build tunnel.

Liverpool will no doubt offer him a history lesson.
