they need to chase realistic targets instead of wasting their time chasing fantasy targets. just because they're all of a sudden CL again doesn't mean the best strikers in the world will join them.

struggling to remember the last time they actually bought a top top player who was world class at the time of them buying him, torres is the only one who comes close in the last decade?

lambert is the only one they've bought imo that they've bought for the player's actual value this summer. never heard of those two defenders.

Also as i did point out all clubs do it, just very interesting when later on the excuses start. Another example would be the way a lot of Arsenal fans were mocking you lot till you beat them and went 4th and they soon change their perspective of their season.

No. Goals from open play =/= goals from penalties. If I was playing for you lot (I'd use us as an example but we don't get penalties because we didn't have a diving rat to win them for us) I could score more than 10 goals a season if they let me take the penalties. If I had to score my goals from open play I probably wouldn't get any. If I was scoring 10 goals a season, loads of clubs would be interested in me, right? No, of course not, because all I'm doing is scoring penalties.

And yeah, Coutinho would be benched in favour of Barkley. Skrtel might start. Apart from that, nope. I saw a post saying how rediculous it was that we thought Barkley was better than the thug of a little girl you've got prancing about with the ball (aka Sterling). You don't see me bringing it up.

He can get CL football anywhere he wants to go.

Liverpool have no hand to play. They are not an elite European club. They're being used as a pawn in other club's games.
