The 'person' who wrote that awful dirge We Go Again is an absolute weapon ...a jarg beaut of inconceivable proportions. He/she doesn't realise it, but it's a quintessential parody of themselves! Priceless!. Can you imagine a GOT member posting such faecal drivel on this site?...instant ban. Yet RAWK lap it up. Priceless lol lol

What an excellent summary of RAWK, and LFC's internet buffoon squad

Whilst box head is rightly getting slaughtered in the media for his part in Liverpools failure, i can't help but notice how Brent is getting away scot free, just casually going about his business.

Slipard may of lost this latest Liverpool battle but its Brent who has lost them the war when everything is broken down and analysed. Brendan one plan, is the main reason why these maggots are not celebrating (officially) their first title in 2 decades. When you concede more goals than a Crystal Palace side which up until 6 weeks ago, were certain for the drop, how in gods name do you expect to win a title? Its been widely talked about in here about his tactics or lack thereof and his gung ho, hollywood 50 yarders into the channel Wimbledon esque playing style ............................... but i don't see Brent getting torn to shreds as he should be. How is this skidmark getting away with it, i'll never know. Instead he picks up LMA Manager of the year before a guy who won 2 trophies in his first season in England.

@RED will be delighted with this news

Agree with that.

I bet no mark Rodgers is quietly relieved Gerrard is being undermined, as it strengthens his position in the power politics around Anfield.

There's three things that cost them if truth be known:

  • Gerrard's slip at the moment of truth against Chelsea and his failure to lead thereafter
  • Rodger's lack of flexibility and in-game decision making in many games this season
  • the enormous pressure the Kopites themselves placed on their own team in the run in (guards of honour etc)

We have to ask "what are Liverpool doing right?" It's far more than just the form of Suarez imo.

You may not have heard of "Peter Brukner" but there no doubts in my mind that this man was highly influential in bringing them up to this level with the work the did with them last year in revolutionizing their approach to diet. He has also helped The Aussie cricket team.

Some googlewhacking:

Apologies if this has been posted already, but I've only just seen it.

Bullets will no doubt be popped into envelopes very soon.....

Great piece that, and about bloody time as well. I'm amazed that the sycophancy has continued for days after a one dimensional, bang lucky, defensively inept team and their embarrassing fan base collapsed under their own hubris and turned disparate football fans against them. By rights any team challenging the City bankroll should have been almost universally celebrated. City haven't had the same level of coverage, behaved with class, played with style and discipline at both ends of the pitch and won the bloody thing. Toure not in the running for player of the year sums up the fevered love-in for that lot. Can't wait for Rodgers to get carved to pieces back in the CL. Guys a fraud, never trusted anyone with a massive portait of themselves. Self obsessed twerp.Brendan-Rodgers-picture.webp

Those 3 points are spot on

Now this fella has won that accolade, its provided him with the invisable cloak to wander around un-noticed, delaying the review of his own failings. It will give him freedom and a breather to somehow slither his way out of it, whilst also providing a GPS to avoid the spotlight his club captain will be under.

For me he's definitely the reason they didnt win, definitely.

That chelsea game will be the blueprint teams will use next season. His plan A only will analysed sooner rather than later.

I honestly think he'll use the talk being generated now about the necessity for 'a plan B' to revert to the possession based game he's always used prior to this season.

I've said it all season: this way of playing they have now is largely a reversion to the 'Gerrard goes long to Torres' period, and the captain has prevailed in the season before lasts postmortem to impress that game plan which suits his needs. It's worked very well to a point, but I dont think Rodgers would waste too much time in ditching it to regain control of the club...I reckon the working out of Liverpool toward this season's end has played into his hands in that respect. He'll seize on the criticism of the backline especially to bring in a whole new unit who are more comfortable on the ball and more able to patiently hold onto it.

Big swing back to Rodgers and away from Gerrard next season.

We can all have a pop at Rodgers tactics, but if we're honest, does Bobby really have a plan B of any sort? Be honest here lads

You can knock him for not having a proper defence all you like (And you'd be right to) but Gerrard slipping wasn't his fault at the end of the day and I'm not convinced Crystanbul was soley down to him either

Mate, C'mon. Bobs got a plan d,e and f. The amount of times he's changed games at HT or with a sub is phenomenal. Look at what we did to Man Utd too. Let them have the ball and devastated them on the counter.

Plan A is the possession football played against most teams this season. Patient buildup etc.

Plan B against the teams who are good at containing possession is to hit them on the break, (Arsenal and MUFC at Goodison)

And he has been very effective in a lot of games bringing on subs who have made an impact either scoring goals or setting them up.

That's how I saw it anyway.

Knocking Rodgers I think is down to his own insistence that he doesn't need an alternative, that attacking football is enough to get the job done every time, and that's been proven spurious.

If you dont play into their hands and sit deep, like Chelsea did, then they'll find it hard to break you down. They're very beatable, but teams like us and Arsenal played right into their hands.
