ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

It's so annoying how all we ever hear about is Suarez's disallowed goal at Goodison and now this. Mason's performance wasn't a patch on what happened to us at the etihad, Silva should have been sent off, their second goal shouldn't have stood and their pen was a joke whilst we had two stonewall ones denied. They get one offside decision and the pitch forks are out. As ever with them it always has to be about them. The more they moan the more they convince themselves they're still relevant in the football world. As if City or Chelsea could care less about their title 'challenge'. Rodgers has come full circle as Liverpool manager. He started off humble, polite, sticking to his tiki taka prinxiples. Now he's paranoid, arrogant and playing the same cpunterattacking kick and rush football that Benitez and Dalglish played. Theres definitely something in the air over there.

I'm really not. I'm saying that when Lescott pulled Suarez's shirt, it wasn't a penalty, and rightly so. The reason why is because you see that literally in every set piece of every match. We can't have a penalty every time there is a corner or a free kick near the box.
To be honest, I've been calling for a crack down on this for years. Loads of people argue that there would be a dozen penalties every game But after the first pen players would think twice about it
Same for Strikers doing it, yellow card offence and we could have a bit of footie again once the penny dropped.

Unfortunately the clowns in charge of football would rather introduce a rule to give players a card for taking off their shirt than do anything sensible to improve football.

it could happen.

I completely agree with your point on goal celebrations. Ridiculous. I also think that putting the ball in the back of the net once the whistle has blown should not be a yellow card offense.

I take it you didn't watch the match then

All this fuss about the referee is just jockeying to put pressure on referees for future fixtures. It's bull****.

The linesman made the horrible offside call. it didn't change the result or anything.

Never seen so much fuss made about a bad offside call so far out from goal. It's not like a goal was wrongly disallowed or a penalty wrongly awarded or whatever. It was an offside, miles out from goal.

You're actually not a nob, fair play. Stick around.

Genuinely shocked to hear a kopite say something remotely sensible.

Fair play.

Seen Clattenberg at Goodison since Gerrards swan dive?

Chelsea have a manager who also doesn't seem to give much of a **** this time around (probably because united didn't want him) and their 'class players' have finished 6th and 3rd the last 2 seasons. And liverpool average 2 points a game with suarez and without him (albeit the without sample is 5 games and the with is 13), reckon as long as they have 2 of suarez/sturridge/coutinho they can do well (ie top 4 or even 3rd at a push, not title winners)

are you still pretending to be an everton fan?

True, but most your fans moaned over Fergie doing it, calling him all sorts. I try not to take too much notice of interviews straight after the match when the loss is still sore, but to call the ref's integrity into question was a bit much. It wasnt even that bad of a display, its the sort of irresponsible nonsense that leads to ref's getting death threats so some manage can pass on responsibility

I wouldn't worry mate, it's Lee Mason, he'll be looking the other way and miss it.

The ref had a good game. He missed the ten penalties City should've had for Skrtl's fouls but other than that he was ok tbh. The linesman made a boo boo though.

Seriously, what's wrong with you people?
