I hope arsenal upset Liverpool on Saturday night. We could do with a couple of gash players like him.
What would Shanks have said etc etc?
Shanks would be at Finch Farm having a cuppa with Martinez and shaking his head with derision at the whole Suarez situation
It is a strange part of their personality that as well as hating us and United obviously they also seem to hate anyone who is attracting any sort of media attention away from them. They seem to genuinely despise it if another team or player is getting plaudits off the media. They hated Bale and thus Spurs, they now appear to hate Arsenal because everyone's going mad over Ozil/Ramsey. They obviously hate Chelsea and Mourinho whereas everyone else seems to appreciate him being back in the English game. They've always got to have a better player than whoever is hot in form at the moment. They've always had an almost cultish devotion to their star players and a refusal to accept that anyone in world football is better than them.
I've never been able to figure it out. All this 'fans have been loyal to him' bollocks is absolutely ridiculous. If he was **** none of them would give a monkeys arse. They only support him because without him they'd be even worse. Support is giving the likes of Naysmith a standing ovation after a good performance after many bad ones.
Aldo back in July:
Aldo now:
Basically: it's ok to shove a custard pie in their faces as long as he scores goals against West Brom.

"He is not a natural goalscorer and cannot turn himself into one," said Aldridge in Ireland's Sunday World newspaper. "I remain a huge fan of Suarez and believe he is close to being a world class footballer in many respects, yet he will never be classed among the game's true greats as he has a major problem when it comes to the most important part of this game - sticking the ball in the back of the net.
"He snatches at everything in front of goal, tries to hit the ball to hard and often panics when he is presented with a keeper and that nice big goal frame to aim at. You have either got it or you haven't when it comes to penalty box poaching and sadly for Liverpool, Suarez falls into the latter category.
*sigh*

Well they love overrating things let's be honest .. did Elvis write his own stuff (for example). Was he not the self-styled King of Rock n Roll but he can't hold a candle to the all time greats. I mean come on - yeah he was good in a sort of Mick Channon kind of way or good looking with a few great moves (think Barnes, Keegan for the moves but obviously not the looks in the case of the Kopites) but purllease - he was no Page, BB King, Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton - ffs he could barely play any instruments.
