i believe this will happen, which if you think of it is totally stupid. doesn't look like he's going anywhere at the moment anyway, only arsenal have actually declared an interest. He'll be gone this time next year anyway, so why bother giving him a pay rise, to make sure he doesn't leave in jan? he'll be suspended for a fair bit until then, just doesn't make sence. i'd rather he stays, they won't get top 4 with him there, so they're deluded in giving him a pay rise to not achieve it anyway.
