ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

To be honest in not sure Suarez going to arsenal is the best move for him. I think Liverpool will surprise us this season, and similarly I don't think arsenal will do any better than last year (fighting for 4th, can't really see them as title challengers) so the two probably wont be a million miles apart. But I guess nobody else will want him!

Liverpool with their ambitions would be mental to sell Suarez to arsenal, as he'll make it certain they finish above them. Crazy situation.

They would be mental not to sell him to Arsenal - they would have nearly doubled their money on a player who has acted like a complete **** ever since he arrived, who has made them look like complete fools in trying to defend him, and they are a better team without him anyway.

If anyones brain needs testing as the result of this deal, its Wenger. Forty million pounds on someone who is nailed on to be banned for 20% of the time, and who has shat on each and every one of his former clubs?

Suspensions aside, he's worth £40m imo.

agreed, mind you he's stupid to be willing to coach that idiot anyway

suspensions and attitude aside. big things to ignore

If Cavani is worth £55m i fail to see how Suarez isn't worth £40m. He scored 24 goals in the Prem alone last season despite missing five matches, 30 goals in all competitions. The guy is top drawer.

I don't buy that he'll continue to get suspensions for the rest of his career either. He will however continue to score and create a ton of goals.

Doesn't work like that lid. Carroll is worth 35m then? Why the [Poor language removed] aren't we asking 70m for Baines?

His playing history would suggest he will continually be prone to suspensions too. Great little player but not as good as they make out and an absolute bellwipe of a man.

On technical ability perhaps, but there are better deals out there. For instance, if Arsenal would pay Soldado's buyout clause they would end up with a striker who would be a better fit to their system, who would score as many goals as Suarez, who would be a lot cheaper, and who wouldnt cause them palpitations every time he was in one of "those" moods.
