They don't seem to realise they finished 7th, meaning to win the league they'd need to overtake 6 teams next season. I don't know why they seem to think that Ferguson retiring is going to make them overtake us, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United. Deluded bellends.

I can just about see why they think we'll drop below them and why they think Man U will tank, though I think they're wrong about at least one of those, but yeah Mourinho's chelsea, Wenger's arsenal, the richest club in the world, Tottenham. It'll never be their year.

The RS's season has been a mirror image of our season last year (without derby's or cup games included)

But when we finished 7th, we didn't go on about winning the league next year.

Wanted an improvement on points from last 2 seasons. Got it. Wanted expansive, attractive football. Got it. Wanted a manager with a clear vision on how to take the club forward, got one.

Got the highest goal scored tally for some time.
Got a 30 goal a season striker after a long time.
Have seen the maximum impact from the club academy on the first team after a long time.
Gerrard is back. He is better than ever.

Yes, I would call this season a work in progress, but that work is pointing in the perfect direction.

Beat everyone bar City, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham home and away and you have 84 points. Even if we lose both matches against said teams. Take away a few points here and there for drawing against Villa, losing to Stoke etc and add a few points for winning against Utd and drawing against Chelsea etc, it is very much possible. We just need to turn up every single game this season. Of course it will be very difficult, but it is possible.
