ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Milner absolutely humiliated Van Dijk.

"You just listen!!"

There's no coming back from that.

Reminds me of Butch Wilkins getting in Trevor Francis’ face in Spain 82

Their sell to buy model is struggling. Wijnaldum gone on a free, Mane left cheap due to his contract, Origi on a free.

They have had to break their wage structure for Salah to stop him leaving cheaply and Keita, Firmino plus AOC all out of contract next summer and will probably walk away free. Previously they would have got about £60/70m for those fringe players

He was like a child getting told off by his mother. He just stood there head down and took it. He's been lauded for beening this big leader of the club and he's had his pants pulled down and his arse smacked by James Milner on live tv.
Rightfully so as well. What the fluff was he doing with his arms behind his back ambling around like a chocolate fire guard in a furnace.

He should have been right out at them and could (would!) have blocked the shot and potentially (likely) stopped the goal. It was school boy stuff.

Someone said it before - teams aren’t scared of them anymore.

How bad was Terrence Trent whatever his name is last night. Herr shipman getting pelters this morning in some quarters from some fans, I would love to see it implode there.

….he’s a fabulous striker of a football & can pick a pass in the top third but if you’re up against him you have to exploit the space behind him.

i actually dread him being in possession as he is such a key player for them but he’s ordinary going the other way. I hope they ‘rest’ him when they play us, I think his pluses outweigh negatives.

He is never a RB though, I think it's pretty obvious why Southgate doesn't pick him. You could probably play him in Salahs position and he would be ok.

As well as the RS dominated, and sycophantic, sports media promoting fringe players as 'world class' - Ibe, Solanke, Brewster etc. and getting mugs to pay £20 million plus for them, and bring in their usual £80 million from promoted teams and others foolish enough to believe the RS dominated media bull.

Klopp's game plan gamble - full backs high up the pitch, back two CB's high line, diagonal cross field balls from the back - mostly Van Dijk to Arnold and then crosses into the box, loads of players in the oppositions half, has been sussed by managers. Sit back and hit the ball into the vacant full back positions, mostly down the right - as we did at their place and Gordon should have had a pen., Spurs, Chelsea (league and cup) all did the same and only poor finishing stopped them winning the game. That's why they never beat any of the top 4 last season.
