ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I wasn't at the ground. I actually was off on Saturday, so didn't watch the game. I caught up afterwards, I don't like watching their finals or games if I can avoid it.

Reporters like Oliver Kay (there's an Athletic podcast from, I think, Monday, where he speaks about this) were. As was Rory Smith, as was Henry Winter and Jason Burt. All of them reported that the Liverpool end was nowhere close to full as the match approached, and when the first announcement of the match being delayed was made. Apologies, that may have been 20-30 minutes before KO, not 10!

The French authorities claimed on Monday that 2,700 fans with genuine tickets were turned away. So if we want to say, then we can know that at least 2,700 people bunked in, as a safe assumption. But we don't know when they bunked in, and it certainly wasn't all before the game, or it would have kicked off before 9:36 if they had their end full and the situation outside was 'under control' in the sense of other fans being locked out...
I didn't see it before the kick off as I didn't watch the build up but when it started I could clearly see that the rs end was full to the brim including the exit stairs. Why aren't your mates reporting that?

A red I know sort of sums up the mind set of some of their fans( not all of them).
A few years ago he was caught bunking in at Old Trafford he was arrested and taken to the cells .He was told to empty his pockets and they found a genuine ticket for the game. When asked why he was bunking in he couldn't answer them and just said its just what I do.
The day after Heysel I was having a drink with a few lads both blues and reds when the same lad came in and was asked what he thought about Heysel he just said it was never a penalty.
Even the reds were disgusted with him.

Some sort of sick minded badge of honour. A rite of passage (both senses). I'm alright Jack FC.

It 100% contributed to it. As did the absolute farce of organisation from the French authorities and the complete maniac reaction of the French police/military.

Accept that they cocked up, accept that they're lying. looks like he can't keep up with his own lies.

I am fully accepting that more RS turned up than should have done, but that could have been avoided in part by having more security checks further away from the ground.
It could have much easier to avoid if the knobheads with fake/no tickets had stayed away
