Numbers again. We don't care how many forgeries have been confirmed. The fact is that there were too many people at that end of the ground. There were too many people who should not have been anywhere near there.
The only people who should have been there were the 20k or so holders of genuine tickets obtained from the official source.
The whole incident was due to Liverpool fans overcrowding the area.
20k people could have been dealt with easily as shown at the other end of the stadium. 30k or more overwhelmed the facility.
Why can't the UK media accept the fact that too many Liverpool fans turning up at that place caused the situation.
The Liverpool end was full, they stopped any more going in unfortunately including 2k legitimate ticket holders.
That's when it all kicked off and the gendarmerie cleared the crowd in their well known and traditional way.
BTW the gendarmerie and CRS etc are part of the military, not the police.
