ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Rangnick aint daft he knows full well there is something rope a DOPE going on.

I mean 9-0 though.

Even Fergie’s best United teams against Liverpool’s worst PL sides aren’t doing that sort of thing. Sure United are poor but they’re still a top 6 PL team that are challenging for fourth with very decent players in all positions.

9-0 over two games.

It'll never come out but I would love there to be a scandal exposed and all their recent success tainted forevermore.

Sadly doping is accepted in most sports - even in more amateur settings such as wrestling in the US - athletes will say nonsense like "I dont take steroids, I take x,y,z prescribed by my Doctor based on my x,y,z levels which is above board".

Its all guff.

I'm nearly forty this year and ignore all this nonsense but some people, especially the younger ones can't get enough of it. It'll never end, their fans are worse than your fans, they started it by singing about that. I don't keep a running score of who's the worst. Only a certain bred of Internet fan will always try to take the moral high ground.

Haven't got a clue what they're singing.

Possibly down to how advanced football has become in terms of sports science and fitness behind the scenes. Or is it easier for you to believe in some crack Pablo Escobar doping conspiracy?

Advancement in the game is all well and good but it’s the same for all teams surely?

In any sport, the top level should see a tiny margin between competitors who all have access to the same resources and employ the best people. Records should slowly creep upwards as incremental improvements are made over time to the game as a whole.

I doubt very much that there is much difference in training facilities, diet, conditioning, data analytics, etc. between the PL clubs who have been in the league a long time. There certainly won’t be between United and Liverpool for example.

You can either blindly accept the beauty of sport and truly believe things like team sky cycling were just really clever, or all Jamaican sprinters of the same generation were super fast (when not many had been before), or truly believe that after years of the PL’s best sides struggling to break the 90 points totals that two sides come along at exactly the same time and break it 5 seasons in a row between them.

Some things can be explained by good tactics, good recruitment etc. but we’ve had all these things before. I just don’t buy that somehow Guardiola and Klopp are just so brilliant that they’ve unlocked the secret to consistency that somehow eluded every other manager in the history of the game.

Fact is there is very little difference between illegal doping and legal supplements. Usually, just the time for the authorities to identify and classify substances.
Remember the ac Milan medical centre… club winning champions league with a back four averaging 55 years old. Nothing suspect there.

Always taking the moral high ground me. Building a nice tower out of ivory at the moment.
