The whole rivalry between them didn't exist until the Ferguson told the press he wanted to "knock them off their F'n perch" Even then they weren't really rivals on the pitch because at the time the rags had no peers in England. We aren't their rivals but 90% of the rag songbook is about city. When we were in the third tier they were winning trebles, but they still had banners up mocking our lack of success. Strange thing to do for a club that means nothing to you.
Now the rags and the asthmatics are in each others pockets, scheming and plotting together, as thick as thieves.
They're not rivals, they are just different cheeks on the same rancid backside.
Liverpool/Utd rivalry is about as real as Klopps teeth.

I know a couple of Unites fans from Manchester, and seems to be City they care about most.

I was thinking about the statement though, and how stupid it is. Like maybe they view City like a 3rd division team. But that would just be completely ludicrous wouldnt it? If a person genuinely held that view, they would be stupid, given how City have dominated English football over the last decade.

It's one thing not to like someone, but it's quite another to not acknowledge the reality of a situation.

Objectively, it may well be City who dont really feel United are proper rivals now.
