I dont remember any of the above winning 6/7 leagues in a decade and setting a points record in the process.

I dont know a single United from Manchester that doesnt hate City more than Leeds as well.

In honesty, over the last 20 years, City make Liverpool look like 1860 Munich.

As a slight aside, Atletico and Sporting are also big clubs.

Why would he?

Maybe hed want to win more than 2 trophies in 7 years or whatever it is?

If he wants to go down as a top manager, he would need to go somewhere and win some more trophies.

And I'm not sure he wants to stay much longer. Has he extended his contract yet?

The whole rivalry between them didn't exist until the Ferguson told the press he wanted to "knock them off their F'n perch" Even then they weren't really rivals on the pitch because at the time the rags had no peers in England. We aren't their rivals but 90% of the rag songbook is about city. When we were in the third tier they were winning trebles, but they still had banners up mocking our lack of success. Strange thing to do for a club that means nothing to you.
Now the rags and the asthmatics are in each others pockets, scheming and plotting together, as thick as thieves.
They're not rivals, they are just different cheeks on the same rancid backside.
Liverpool/Utd rivalry is about as real as Klopps teeth.
