ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Liverpool: they're finished. And they know it. The weakness from Klopp in interviews yesterday; the fans cry arsing about no transfers; the fans spitting at City staff; the fawning Kopite media preferring to talk up a goal rather than assess the complete domination by City at Anfield; the weakness of the Liverpool squad, underlined by having to turn to Milner.

Good morning RAWK.

I think you write them off at your peril. As long as they're getting decision like they did yesterday, and they've got Salah doing World Class things like that on a regular basis, then they've got a chance.

But for all the flack City get, they've played Chelsea and Liverpool away in back-to-back games and taken 4 points. By contrast Liverpool have taken 2 points from Chelsea and City at home.

Defensively though, hate to mention big Vigil Van Dijk, he looks far from what he once was. Still think the season will be tight.

African nations, PL clubs will only miss them for 2 PL games and the Fa Cup 3rd round tie which is in the middle of a 14-16 day gap in PL fixtures.

So many crystal ball posts when the season isn't even 10 games in, games predicted, injuries predicted, form of players, manager's positions all predicted already when the season ends in EIGHT months time.

I don't think it will be a high 90 something points total, it will be around 85-88 points, so the title winners could have room to lose 5-6 games.

Do you think Milner should have been sent off mate ?

Are they though?

Regardless of the transfers whilst they've still got klopp they'll always be around the top, at this moment in time is there a better player in the world right now than Salah? I honestly don't think their is.

They have got a very very good team ( not squad )

All their main players are getting on a bit though so in that sense they are going to need replacing but they don't seem to have the money to replace them.

Yeah that’s the issue, any other team have their quality found out over a 38 game season. When they play badly they’re often beaten, when they play well sometimes it doesn’t go for them sometimes it does. A bad day at the office for Liverpool is being completely dominated by a top side at home but ending the day disappointed not to win. Whenever they play well they win nearly every single time. When they don’t play well there’s wonder goals, opposition missing open nets, refereeing decisions, and plain old unbelievable good luck that keeps them in it. It’s heartening they’ve not built up a lead yet but any other team gets punted by both Chelsea and City at home if they play as poorly as Liverpool did.

Liverpool don’t need to be better than City or Chelsea, it’s quite clear they’re nowhere near them football wise, but each match day they just have to get 3 points and whilst City and Chelsea will do it in a dominant manner, this lot will still end up with them more often than not even if they’ve been outplayed. That’s why they’re still a threat despite not being anywhere near the top two quality wise. That and the fact that Salah and Mane have never known injury in their entire career at Liverpool.

Funny though isn’t it how all these world class players at other top clubs have dips in form. Mbappe Neymar Messi Hazard Kane Aubemayabg etc. it’s just not going quite right for them at the moment and they’ve all had periods where they’ve been out of form despite their quality.

Not the bloke who wasn’t good enough for Chelsea though and didn’t do much at Roma. Oh no, season after season of playing every single game always in top form, never looking tired once, never so much as pulled a single muscle. He must just be the natural oddity amongst the elite of world footballers.

Hahahahahaha come on mate, he's just a really good player who looks after his body, same way Messi and Ronaldo do it.

He was good in both seasons for Roma tbh ( not AS good )

And I wouldn't pay attention to much to who Chelsea deem "not good enough" given they let rom and KDB leave for buttons first time around

Henderson is one of the worst MFs in the PL this season now; Robertson is nowhere near at the level he's been at and looks shot, same with VVD.

The defence could have conceded 12 goals easy in the last two PL games alone.

Stick a fork in this lot, they're done.

Some conclusion to come too when we are only 7 games into the season and they lie in second one point behind Chelsea.

Good morning RAWK.
Spot on this Dave. City will have planned for a minimum of one point at Analfield with 3 at their end. This is how title-winning teams operate.

Another penalty not given at 0.0 you cant play them on a level playing field , city should of won that by at least 3 goals, the fact that they are top of the league proves how bias this league is in favour for them.

Not top (yet) mate, they're 2nd a point behind Chelsea.

A few more refereeing performances like yesterday will no doubt give them a massive helping hand.
