ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Hahahahahaha come on mate, he's just a really good player who looks after his body, same way Messi and Ronaldo do it.

He was good in both seasons for Roma tbh ( not AS good )

And I wouldn't pay attention to much to who Chelsea deem "not good enough" given they let rom and KDB leave for buttons first time around

Both those players were slowing down by the time they hit 30 from what they were capable of earlier in their careers despite both being absolutely prodigies. In fact almost every single one of the world class bracket of top players (e.g Messi Ronaldo Neymar Mbappe Aguero Rooney etc.) were all world class in their teens and already on the radar of huge clubs. Even Lukaku whilst not as good was leading premier league forward lines in his teens. Foden and Pedri now are already in the first teams at the top clubs in the world. Generational talent doesn’t get missed by these big teams, they hoover it up. Apart from the two anomalies at Liverpool in Salah and Mane who just happened to be fairly decent forwards into their mid twenties who top clubs had a look at and decided against, until they arrived at Liverpool and suddenly became two of the best forwards in the world over night in their mid to late twenties. Not seen too many stories like that anywhere in football but imagine the chances of getting two in one club? Three if you count VVD who went from a player only Southampton would take a punt on from Celtic to what some pundits consider the greatest centre back in premier league history. What a meteoric rise for three players all at the same club all at a stage in their career when huge rapid improvement isn’t that common.

Honestly just open your eyes to the fact this isn’t normal. What other pace based attacker who is almost 30 who has played week after week for 4 seasons in a row is actually getting faster and better as time goes on? Even Ronaldo Messi Kane etc. all adapted their games so they don’t run as much. Salah is still tearing down the wing like he’s 21 (except when he was 21 he wasn’t tearing down the wing like this). It’s not natural, if those players went to other clubs half of them would be finished within a few seasons. Seriously you could retire Milner Henderson Firmino Matip immediately, Jones would probably look a championship player, Jota would be bang average as he was at Wolves, and no one would even discuss Alexander Arnold and Robertson as even being in the conversation for best fullbacks in the world.

It's mad how some won't give any credit.

He's a cracking player, which is really, really unfortunate.

So what is it you are saying?

; )

Are they though?

Regardless of the transfers whilst they've still got klopp they'll always be around the top, at this moment in time is there a better player in the world right now than Salah? I honestly don't think their is.

They have got a very very good team ( not squad )

All their main players are getting on a bit though so in that sense they are going to need replacing but they don't seem to have the money to replace them.

They’ll sign Sarr from Watford for about £40m and he’ll score 38 goals in all comps next season.

That Klopp has been doping that team for a long time and based on talent alone they’d be nowhere near the levels they’ve been at recently. FFs at one point a midfield of Milner Henderson Wijnaldum was trampling over every team in Europe like they were pub teams and everyone thought it was just down to some decent tactics and hard running. That’s Wijnaldum who couldn’t hit a barn door at Newcastle and is now being kept out of the PSG team by the world class talents of Idrissa Gueye and Ander Herrera

I dont think they are the only ones if there was something dodgy going on look at the likes of 34 year old Fernadinho over the years at City then you had Pep's Barca team who pressed none stop week in week out.

Then again Townsend is playing for us like he's 21 at the moment maybe he has some of that magical elixir lol

In regards to your theory about him not changing his game etc, change his game to what? He is what he is an exceptional winger/forward.

Ronaldo changed his game from winger to number 9 later on in his career and he can because he's one of the best finishes football has every produced.

I woukdnt say Messi has changed his game in the slightest, did you see his goal Vs city last week? Same goal he's been scoring his whole career.

Kane has never had pace but is very good on the ball, the change he has made makes sense.

You mention about wingers doing what Salah has done consistently at that level and accuse him of doping or whatever, mate robben and ribery where doing it for years until there mid 30s

.

I was being slightly tongue in cheek but yes, I too have for a long time been at a loss to explain their seemingly unnatural energy levels. Up until last season, their lack of soft tissue injuries, ability to pick the same players week-in, week-out, ability to run and press more than any other team was like nothing I have ever seen before. I think everyone is aware of that article written by the medical professional who insinuated that Liverpool were abusing TUEs on salbutamol, and that they had no chance of winning the league because they risked collapsing. He was scorned at the time but turned out to be absolutely right.

City most likely at it as well. The consistency of the two of them in 18/19 was bordering on obscene, winning runs of 18 games, that’s nearly half a season without dropping points. Fernandinho and the two Silvas running all over physical midfields. Undoubtedly they’re probably at it as well, although they did at least have world class players in every position to begin with. Klopp was making Nat Phillips look like the best centre back in the league by the end of last season and Curtis Jones is now going away to Porto and trampling all over them.

Townsend is playing well for us but even in this form it’s clear to see he’s lost the pace he once had at Spurs. He’s still decent but he’s shown he’s been at this level before in his career and probably just dipped under that dinosaur Hodgson for so long. Some of those Liverpool players went from nowhere to the best in the world over night despite never showing it anywhere else before.

Ronaldo changed his game beacause he lost his pace. Yes he became hungry for goals but for years at Madrid he still played out wide but he slowly went from a winger who beat players, to a winger who arrived in the box to score goals, to now just a number 9 who waits in the box for goals.

Messi used to play false 9 at Barca right up against the centre backs and run them all day long right across the pitch. Now he walks around in midfield and occasionally runs if he senses a goal chance. He’s not running in behind defences anymore at all.

Compare Kane in Poch’s first few seasons in his mid 20s to Kane now and it’s frightening. His mobility has dropped off a cliff.

Robben and Ribery were so injury prone it was ridiculous. Ribery lost his pace by the end. Robben kept his but could barely get on the pitch. Again though Robben was tearing it up as a very young player at PSV and starred at Chelsea Real Madrid and Bayern. He stayed at the same level his entire career and despite being one of the best players of the last generation he’s still probably got nowhere near the numbers Salah has despite playing in better teams.

Just disagree completely, think your blinkered by the fact he plays for Liverpool and cannot call it for what it is, Salah is an exceptional player.

Ronaldo had all the attributes to be a number 9, he's big, strong, great finisher and he's absolutely insane in the air. Salah is none of those things, so what are you suggesting he changes his game too?

Re Messi, I'm still not convinced he's changed his game, I had the luck of going to watch Messi live about 7 years ago he did in that game literally word for word what you say he does now, he stood there not moving until he received the ball, he done this for 90 minutes but within that time one time he got ball he skinned about 5 players and scored the winner.

Robbena best ever goal return season came at the age Salah is now, so again I disagree.

Not getting into the kane Vs Salah debate mate they are chalk and cheese to how they play so don't think thats a fair debate

Robben and ribery was world class at 20 salah is a very good footballer no doubt but his pace and strength that he unquestionably didn't have at Chelsea gives him the edge, mane two years ago looked like the fastest footballer on the planet and let's not forget emre can out sprinting Kyle Walker.
It goes on in all sports to say the fittest football team and a club who would do anything to win is not doping is laughable.

Of course it goes on in sports.

But to say they are definitely doping because they have a fit team isn't just laughable, it's quite amazing really..

It's not that they have a fit team , the point I'm making is the players fitness doesn't go up a level it goes up to levels never seen before and when they move on the fitness levels drop alarmingly, this is a club that has no morals when comes to getting the upper hand .
Wasnt it sakho under klopp demanded an apology because he was labelled a drug cheat , he may have been cheating now but at the time the drug wasn't on the list of banned substances so they should apologise for not being ahead of the drug cheats at liverpool, like I said laughable.
