ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

For a post-Messi, post-Mbappe, post Neymar PSG maybe; can’t see him standing for the current forward players not being arsed to press. Plus that is a difficult league to excel in - he’d be expected to win the league but not really credited unless he won the CL.

I wouldn’t be that surprised if he replaced Guardiola at City tbh (when he goes) they’d be probably ripe for a change of style.
I don't think he'll stay in England after the rs.

Also as @stony points out, City are not going to have his game style in their post-Guardiola era as first chiice- but then again City's owners would certainly consider him if the time was right as he is a winner in 2 leagues (insert asterisk) and the CL and that's what they want.

A bit of a wobble, the press to scent the blood and he's a gonna. They may be top of the league but the cracks are there and the mid to long term squad strength is poor compared to the likes of City, United nd Chelsea.

Soon...

Does anyone reckon Klopp would go to Barca? Rumoured to be their preferred choice to replace Koeman. No money but huge club, would he make the move?
7 years at Mainz
7 years at Dortmund
6 years at Liverpool

...I think he'll be looking to shift himself very soon out of Liverpool...which is why he just opted this summer to extend the contracts of existing players and not build another team.

I think they will try and keep hold of Klopp until summer 23. If Gerrard has a hat trick of leagues they will think he's ready. He is a mile off and by then the squad will have declined further. I also think he will be a yes man like Solskjaer so even if they are finishing 5th to 8th as long as the 'brand' is turning a profit he will stay in charge. I look forward to their demise under Slippy G.

Absolutely amazed that in a summer when the Germany job and the Bayern job came up he wasn’t close to either of them. Cant see him at Barca, he’s not a possession based manager. Madrid I could see him at although I’m not sure the Madristas would accept the football if it wasn’t winning. It’s actually become very rudimentary now, long balls over the top, crosses from fullbacks, and set pieces are their main routes to goal and they cede possession to better teams. Not sure either of Spain’s big two would have that. Atletico would be a decent fit if Simeone went.

Klopp needs to be an underdog. To be fair he's good at it when he took over at the RS they were distinctly mid table they threw money at it he built a team to get wins. They would have won it in 2019/20 if Covid didn't intervene. He took Dortmund from nowhere to Champions and back again hopefully he leaves the RS in 8th. He would be better off going to an underdog but would his ego allow.
