ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That is 9/11 of there strongest team. They are good if they hit the front. They are injury to Fabinho from it starting to unravel. He is there most important player at the moment along with Salah. If only they hadn't made Champions League this season. They would definitely have had to sell someone and fir reduced value they are a boxer out on his feet listening for the bell just need to make that final punch. If they drop out they could do an Arsenal drift for a couple of season then just be happy with top half finishes.
Arsenal have the worst owner in Sports, Have you seen his 4 Teams he owns in the USA, he is happy with them getting tv money and tax payer funded shiny stadiums/arenas built for him to grow his asset, he doesn't really care about trophies, none of his USA teams have won a championship since the Rams won the Superbowl in 2000 and the Avalanche in 2001, he doesn't really care much for Arsenal either, Kroenke is all about growing an asset, not titles.

Fa Cups a trophy that most of the PL doesn't care about will be the limit for Arsenal trophy wise while Kroenke is there, the Arsenal fans dreams of winning a PL under that ownership are dead.

He's just got the Rams a new stadium in LA that was tax funded and cost £5 billion.

FSG don't seem to have the same malaise as Kroenke does for his teams, they love winning trophies on both sides of the Atlantic.

I don't think any of the 3 big reds supporters are happy with their ownership. They were all happy to get into bed with the Americans but now want to protest against them. Manchester should build a bi multi storey car park on the land where Old Trafford is. Liverpool should build a nice homeless centre on the site where Anfield is. That would be quite apt considering how many houses were knocked down to build big stand. Let's have a war memorial built on the land where the Emirates currently resides. That would be apt punishment for being the 3 main instigators in the 6 trying to break the English League. The three teams sold their souls they can't now complain. I know a lot of United fans initially hated them hence United FC but they were relatively quiet while they were still winning. Now they've realised how far behind they are and with Ole at the wheel they are suddenly very vocal. The RS happily jumped in bed with the first Americans as they thought they were moving to a higher state of conscious when it went the way of the pear they loved the new Americans who were their saviours. Now they protest as they possibly see a spell in the wilderness coming. Arsenal and there Americans I don't know the story as well but once again it will have been a case of everything that shines isn't always gold. With a bit of luck Everton the good guys if English football will once again rise to the top.

You are right. FSG and kroenke are nothing alike. Kroenke didnt force local residents out of their homes for either the Emirates or LA stadiums.

Hold on here, FSG love winning trophies? Theyve won 2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Arsenal have won more FA Cups than that.

And as for the FA Cup not being liked? That is ridiculous. Go and ask proper supporters (who attend matches regularly) whether the FA Cup matters. 99% of them would love their team to win it. It's the oldest and most prestigious knock out competition in the world!

FSG and Kroenke are cut from the same cloth. They want to grow the asset, and in the process of doing so believe they can compete to win trophies. Kroenke made a big mistake getting rid of Wenger (and replacing him badly) whereas FSG made a good appointment in Klopp. Their fortunes have kind of reversed with those appointments. Like if Arsenal had appointed Klopp, and Liverpool Rodgers/Arteta and to a degree Emery, I think it plays out similarly.

...I think he'll be looking to shift himself very soon out of Liverpool...which is why he just opted this summer to extend the contracts of existing players and not build another team.
I think this is a good point. Klopp will not be around for a rebuild. I'm not sure that the money is there for such a comprehensive overhaul. When you look at the ages of their key players, they will all get old together and have very little resale value. Klopp won't care about that though, because he will be gone. At the start of the next season, the ages of their key players will be:

Mane - 30
Firmino - 30
Salah - 30
Van Dijk - 31
Henderson - 32
Thiago - 31
Matip - 31
Milner - 36

You also have a host of players hitting 28/29 - Alisson, Robertson, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain.

This is a crisis in waiting if ever there was one.

He'll get the 7 year itch and gone. I'm sure he's aware of his own M.O. even though he's contracted there until 2024.

They have younger players like Alexander-Arnold, Jota, Gomez, Elliott, Konate...but I dont see much in the way of first teamers beyond that, and the long contract extensions for established players will keep that imbalance.
