ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Also how come there’s barely been a question from the media on where their new signing Konate is? Ole was getting it every week about Van der Beek. Benitez is now getting it all the time about James. If Pep left Grealish out I’m sure we wouldn’t hear the end of it. But Klopp leaves out a 36 mill point centreback signing? Not a word.
Didnt you know mate - it's great man management from Herr Shipmann, who has done it before with Der bestest midfielder in the world, fabinho and the other bestest midfielder in the world, Keita, who he signed for a combined total of £100 million give or take a Deutschmark, and who both never got near the vermin's first team for months?!

Nothing suspicious at all according to the red infested media - it's just brilliant management from Jergen apparently, in that he gets the players ready for the physical aspect of the English game, by building them up slowly.....

Any other manager or club would be hammered for this approach, not the abnormal one.

Anyone with a Braincell can tell it's undiagnosed asthma that all there players have, then the salbutamol trials and exposure that takes the "time" to get them sorted, plus the special run-run juice program over at Lance Armstrong FC.

Konate will be werld class as soon as he starts.....

You do realise I agreed with you right? Apart from the start, Chelsea are arguably the best side in the country. I'm a realist. Godfrey starts, so does Digne and I'd have Doucoure and DCL in as well. Gray is playing better than mane but if you had to pick a side to save your life in one match you'd still pick Mane. The only players of theirs that scare me are Salah and Fabinho to be honest. I'd have Fabinho here in a heartbeat. The keeper is decent as well.

I know mate, but why would I miss an opportunity for a 2 paragraph answer with a mere 1 sentence one!

I broadly agree with you though. Gray has made a great start, but as you say Mane has delivered over a long period of time (for them and at Southampton). He looks on the wane a bit to me, but he's been a great signing for them.

And yea, Henderson is a limited player and anyone who thinks he's world class doesn't understand football.

Godfrey and Mina are not dislodging VVD and Matip in a combined 11, a CB pair that got 97 and 99 points consecutively and won a CL and they have the best defensive record in the league after 4 games.

Combined 11's are just stupid anyway i always find, just cause unnecessary arguments, doing them after 4 games in is even more laughably stupid, it should be at end of the season when they should be done, and with them not having any CBs last year then that is the only way Mina and Godfrey make a 20-21 Merseyside combined 11 as the starting CB pair.

Do this seasons combined 11 when the season ends.

I don't think anyone is saying they are starting as a pair. Everyone would accept VVD would start. Matip is not that great. Before VVD arrived he was quite limited, and on the occasions VVD doesn't play he looks quite limited. If he was at Everton, playing next to Keane he would look a different player, as would Godfrey or Mina next to VVD. Matip makes MIchael Keane look rapid on the turn! I don't think there's much between them, Gomes and Matip. I'd probably throw Keane in there too but he's inconsistent.

And it's fair enough to say over a season, but last season we had an unparalleled injury crisis (the worst in the league by some distance) and we finished within 10 points of them by essentially throwing it away with our home form. So over the course of a season it wouldn't be wholly unreasonable to suggest some Everton would be in the joint team. In fact it would be a bit illogical to assume some players wouldn't be.

Re the pair of Godfrey/Mina, I don't think anyone would suggest either get into any team ahead of VVD, even a VVD who is clearly going to be a bit more injury prone moving forward.

Godfrey is not breaking up the VVD and Matip partnership.

34 PL games together, 14 goals conceded and unbeaten, according to Opta on Sunday.

These sort of stats are misleading, as it doesn't really identify correlation or cause. Matip is not a big reason for the above.

Last season, Everton averaged a higher PPG than Liverpool with Mina in the team. By your logic that would make him better than any of Liverpool's players. You've got to put context into any statistics for them to make any sense.

It would also be like saying, because Phil Neville won all those titles for Manchester United, he's a better midfield player than Steven Gerrard. It's clearly ludicrous. Matip is a poor man's version of Phil Neville in said analogy. He's fine as a player, but he benefits from the players around him.

In a midfield 3 the two standout players for me are Fabinho holding then Allan as one for he two. I can’t make a claim for Docuoure being better than Henderson when he’s been so inconsistent since he arrived. If he can put it together for a whole season then maybe but sometimes he looks like he can’t trap a ball and just disappears from games for ages.

Robertson without drugs is neither here nor there but when he’s doped up like he is now he’s like a whippet and seeing as Digne has lost his head recently it would have to be Robertson but a close one. Digne in decent form against a non juiced Robertson isn’t close though.

It’s close on the wide left forward. If Gray has a good season then maybe but he’s had four games. Richarlison still needs to do more for me. Why can’t he be a player who scores 20 goals? Instead he seems to be getting worse. Mane isn’t the player he was but he’d be walking into this team now.

If Robertson is so good, why has he never done anything of note at international level. If he was French he'd probably not have a single cap. Digne is ahead of him. Robertson doesn't get anywhere near the French squad and gets exposed badly when he loses the protection of VVD at the back. He was given the complete run around by some pretty ordinary players this summer.

Liverpool fans laughing at us for getting a handout for our stadium not realising that they also got a handout when they built their conservatory and kicked people out their homes. Clueless idiots.

They're too thick to see the rather glaring similarity between the two. You know when you want to understand why Brexit happened, or (die hard kopites) like Rees Mogg or Nadine Dorries get elected to government, go and listen to your average kopite attempt to understand things he can't comprehend. Marx was quipped that was religion for humanity, but for that lot it seems to getting their head around a loan, or public/private investment.

I genuinely feel very sorry for their families. Stuck with useless, inadequate losers who are perpetually angry at the world around them. It must be a very hard life for their spouses and children to have to deal with the constant nonsense that comes from them.

Probably because he was in a lull on his doping programme so he could be back on all cylinders for Liverpool. Liverpool players don’t care about their countries, they’ve always been completely rubbish for them, Owen is about the only one I can remember who seemed to pay as well for England as he did for Liverpool. Henderson has been a joke for England, as is Alexander Arnold, Van Dijk passed up the euros to get fit for Liverpool, Fabinho is rubbish for Brazil, as is Firmino, and Salah and Mane barely turn out for their teams unless it’s a tournament now. It goes all the way back to Gerrard, Carragher, Fowler, all absolutely rubbish for England. Liverpool is a cult that demands complete and utter obedience that’s why it attracts the players it has, they’d gladly throw their international careers in the bin to play for Liverpool.

I just think it shows, once you take them out of the bubble of LFC and the ridiculous hype that surrounds them, they are not actually as good as people say they are. I say people, I mean client journalists.

I saw one of them the other day making out Robbie Fowler was the greatest striker ever and better than Ronaldo. He has 7 international goals. Ronaldo has 111. It's like comparing David Nugent to Pele. But the real cult freak weirdo's amongst them genuinely believe Robbie Fowler is better than Ronaldo.
