ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see hardman 'hendo' is speaking about that Bellingham again, why are the papers bothered what he thinks? there's no relevance at all.

Media attention was away from them for a second so they found a way to associate themselves with it. I’m surprised Klopp didn’t mention Raducanu in his presser to somehow get themselves linked with her.

Jurgen Klopp: Emma Raducanu is the 'talent of the century' after US Open win

United were bigger even in the 70s and 80s mate. They've always been the biggest club in the country. RS second no doubt there unfortunately but they wont be in 20/30 years
That was the start of their “ rivalry” . In the 70’s the RS were winning everything, United were nowhere and they kept publishing reports every year showing that United were the biggest club in the country and had the most support of any club worldwide, a throwback from the Busby era . They were continually fuming that they weren’t recognised as “ der greatest in der world” and hated United with a passion for It.

To be fair mate the two city rivalries date back to the manchester ship canal. We don't get an easy ride with that lot up the east lancs and vice versa. It just so happens them two had periods of dominance when fans were latching on mainstream. I can't stand United or City because of the city rivalry. Rather them win though.

I feel a twinge of sympathy (not often) for Chris Bascombe, that rabid RS who writes for the Telegraph. He reports on Liverpool's games if they are playing someone like Norwich, but for the big games he is side lined by the more senior reporters . For last nights game it was Jason Burt, Chief Football Correspondent. As a consolation, he is allowed to produce some irrelevant article on an RS topic. Today, in the space under the match report he has written an article on Origi (who he?)

Jesus wept. PEDSpool on the news again - teaming up with some nomark or other to promote recycling plastic bottles.
I could not switch the telly over quick enough
and never a peep out of all of the work that Everton do with EITC, these biffs get their gurning grids on the news for putting stuff in the right bin

Please can I have some of what you're on? In no universe is Doucoure or Gomes getting ahead of Fabinho, Thiago and Henderson. Criticise him all you want, but he is a good player and captain, something that's sorely lacking at ours.

Godfrey is not better than Van Dijk or Gomez. Or Matip. We have to be honest here.

Only one I really agree with is Calvert-Lewin playing through the medal ahead of Firminho.

I like Jordan, but come on, he's not better than Alisson. It only harms Jordan to compare the two. He's a very good goalkeeper don't get me wrong, and he seems to have improved massively since we bought him, but I'm not picking him over Alisson.

And no, we're not getting Top 4, and certainly not pushing them out of it. It's been 4 games. We're still miles off even Leicester. If we can get Europa League or even Europa Conference I'd be delighted. We're in no way ready for CL football yet. Getting into one of the other comps would at least allow us a chance of a trophy and get us into the rhythm of 2/3 games a week.

Godfrey is better than Gomes. Gomes is pretty hopeless, and I sense would be woeful in Norwichs defence. Mina is as good as any of their defenders bar Van Dijk. Digne is better than Robertson too.

Lots of people would have Allan or Doucoure over Henderson, who most neutral fans can see is limited.

As for top 4, who knows. Seems a way off. I cant see how we are light years behind Leicester though?

Agree Pickford and Alisson, Alisson is a long way ahead.

Its probably 2 or 3 Everton players in a joint 11. Which is about right, considering there was what 10 points between the teams last season, and we are level in points this season with probably a harder start.
