ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Absolutely, I was made up they won mate but I'd rather it was us.

I couldn't care less either way mate.

I'd love it to be Everton too. But on my list of priorities in life currently, if I drew up 100 Everton winning a trophy wouldnt be in the top 90. I dont really understand people who conflate a football teams success or failure with their own, and let it affect their moods.

Like if you were an LFC fan, who was cheering for Chelsea on the night, why are you getting so angry now? I cant fathom it.

Not being funny mate 50% of your posts are on this thread about them. And if we aren't in your top 10% of priorities then go and support Brentford. I wanted Chelsea to win on the night because I like Tuchel and Reece James. I don't find anything about City remotely appealing. As for the fans of either, give me northern supporters over southern idiots every day of the week. You'd understand that if you were from this city mate.

I dont think they are though. 90%+ of my posts are not on this page at all. I probably wrote more about politics than on here. But it's a forum about football and it's interesting to discuss different teams. I wouldn't confuse that for it meaning anything though, it means very little. Lots of people get really riled if they buy/sell a player. Most of the time I'm something of a calming influence, as it just doesnt bother me that much.

I'm not sure what the comment about Brentford means? I prioritise things I have direct control over and directly affect me. I had a cousin who died recently so helping to organise a funeral. For another relative who's had a stroke. These are the things that are importance. Everton is a relief from these things, win lose or draw. I'm not sure why people continue to do things that make them angry or frustrated.

Fair play for wanting Chelsea to win. It would be a bit odd for someone who wanted them to win to them be angry they won a few weeks later, which seems to be some reds. I cant understand that.

As for the southern/northern thing that's probably true. How does cheering for Chelsea over City fall into that though haha!?
But yes, it's different down this end. My two best mates arent into football. My partner doesnt like football. Her friends dont like football. You just dont get sucked along with it in the same way.

I'm not sure that being from the city gives you a consciousness that you prefer northern to southern teams. My entire family, on both sides all live in the city, my parents lived in the city until their late 20s and I can only think of 1 great uncle who prefers northern to southern teams. For most of them it's the opposite!

Ive seen Chelsea fans boot some 50 odd year olds head in in-front of his young lad at Euston station and the police wouldn't let us move. I imagine a few off here saw it. Nothing but contempt for that club. Anyone off here whose been to stamford bridge with us or wembley will know we've sung Chelsea rent boys for years. They are a horrible rat of a club, like them across the park and like Millwall and Birmingham. Can't be arsed with anyone siding with them whatsoever.

Wanting them to beat Chelsea was for the greater good of footy I guess, lesser of two evils as football sides. As for fans? Give me City everyday

Chelsea was always a bit of a moody away, always very tetchy at that tube station after games. Millwall have always been a scummy club, remember about 15 years ago now they were singing horrendous songs about Hillsborough and Liverpool fans gave it to them, and you just thought "go on lads".

Birmingham is a strange one. I remember the season they came up, and it was going off in Stanley Park after the match. Think Unsworth got an equaliser late on. I remember the boxing day game against them was going to be awful and being quite scared, but actually passed off fairly incident free. Always found Wolves was the worst away if that cluster of clubs. Fun times!

Birmingham away was always fine, their away support are bad blerts. Don't remember anything in Stanley Park but remember a good few digs thrown outside the Crown, I think they underestimated the togetherness of scousers. Even arl women were out throwing glasses at them

So are some of our fans for singing about wanting Carlos dead last week. Does that make us all scum? Fair few shouts of Yorkshire Police - Murderers yesterday in the away end according to our kid and rightly so. We hate them, absolutely but stop being a pathetic little suck up. Don't back a chelsea fan when their fans are the nazi salute lot. Scousers over cockneys everyday of the week.
Whats the question mark for? Chelsea fans make nazi salutes. Are you a Chelsea fan as well?
That didn’t happen. I’m not sure why you’re so angry. I’m no Nazi either.

Well not really, as police in Leeds are West Yorkshire and those in Sheffield are South Yorkshire so entirely different forces.
