ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

United hadn't won the title for 26 year before the Premier League and the money arrived.

How does that change the fact that their growth and rise to dominance was far more natural than cities ?

City literally went from nothing to the richest club in the world over night despite doing absolute nothing to deserve or earn that wealth.

And if I may say, Mr. 'tash', at the end of his career, Paul Powers, in the 1986-87 season, bought by us as cover only, turned in an absolute 'tour-de-force' of a season for us in that title-winning season. Greatest of respect for the guy in how he served us.
So I have I, as we was virtually hounded out of Maine Road by the City fans for some unfathomable reason.
He was a fantastic servant to both clubs. I have been fortunate enough to meet him a couple of times and he is a really
nice guy to boot.

So what? Big deal. City lucked out financially- good for them.

And if we were taken over by an Uzbeki billionaire who built us a new stadium, installed a champions league coach and started filling the team with big name players from South American, would anyone here complain?

Why would they complain ? Where is anyone in this thread complaining ?

I literally just pointed out the obvious false equivalency of someone claiming United are just the same as City when it comes to spending lol

Actually, there are still quite a few in the Everton only forum that do

@catcherintherye lol lol lol

They are really going big on him today 3 or 4 different articles I've seen so far today. As soon as the other centre backs are fit it'll be like he never even existed.

Liverpool's latest attempt to string together a half back line. Donk, Bonk and Zonk. on loan from Blackpool, will make their debut tonight in attempt to rope in marauding and hungry Wolves. Could turn into a bit of a kicking contest however. Skill sets on display include nifty and vicious back heeling techniques designed to clobber and immobilize any opponents within range of their hind legs.

Ok fair enough thats the point i was making about abilty , as for Liverpool yes they should have strengthened after winning the title , their squad was not able to cope with long term injuries , i agree that is their own fault , although to lose 3 centre halves for nearly a full season is a bit unfortunate for any club
The rs have had a scouting system that 'spotted' Suarez, Coutino, Firmino, Mane, Salah and others...and took a chance on them.
This system has...
a) not spotted their replacements.
Or
b) not been allowed to buy them
Or
c) dont have the money to buy them

I quite like it tbh.

Edit; not to mention Norbert running them into the ground
