I know COVID has implications everywhere but they sold Coutinho for like £120m when Ross Barkley had better everything than him.

Just saying I think they would recoup stupid fees for their players. FFS, Jordan Ibe, Solanke and Brewster went for damn near £70m! That's like Kenny, Simms and I don't even know if we have another player that would count but the points the same!
 
As @davek has rightly pointed out before, they can trace their cultish nonsense right back to Shankly and his football is more-important-than-life garbage.

They were expecting decent money from Shaquiri and Wilson, but none of the usual takers had the money they wanted so Brewster went instead. They would be happy to flog Origi but again, who will pay £25 mill or something stupid. Think those days are gone due to Covid.

When they have to sell someone like Origi for 3m like we did with Schneiderlein I'll believe finances are really bad worldwide. Someone said it a couple pages back, every "crisis" they have they come out of smelling like roses. They literally defaulted on bank loans and went in to administration only to get bought out and have 0 repercussions because of it.
