If you did have cash, why would you spend it on 29 year old Salah who hasn’t done it anywhere else apart from under Klopp, when you could have Mbappe Sancho Haaland Felix? You are probably right. I forget that there are some biglargehuge clubs like Barca that are trying to shred payroll. Haagland probably gets 100M (more likely he's held on to though). If Liverpool let Salah go for say 60M instead of keeping him, they probably have some serious finance issues.

I can’t remember the last 29 year old who went to one of these clubs for mega money. Suarez and Hazard were probably the oldest but Salah is older than they were when they moved. They normally look to pounce in the early 20s like Ronaldo Bale Coutinho etc. Would be good if Salah agitates for a move and they have to either sell him at cut price or reward him with a new contract.

Just put something above mate, but Gab Marcotti (v well connected European journalist) said they have no chance of selling Salah at £80m this summer. He will be 29, with 2 years left on a deal.

If nobody is getting close to 80, how much do they get? 60m? Maybe 40m of that down. Most of it will just be used to plug gaps and if there's any spare, it will go on the CB Kabak who has a buy out price of 20 rising to 30.

Barcelona were badly ripped off with Coutinho and by all accounts according to Swiss Ramble a lot of the European clubs are feeling the pinch, it's like a huge recession in sport.
