ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The league is almost gone. Spurs and West Ham are going to be really difficult. If they dont defeat Burnley they are likely going to be 10+ points behind 3 or 4 teams.

I wish, I think their home form will annoyingly keep them in this. It’s a shame that City and United started so slowly from their European excursions otherwise they’d be out of sight now. Liverpool will win a few again and City will drop points and it will go back to being very tight, but of course it would be good if City were just at the start of one of their 15 match winning streaks and Liverpool found themselves 9 or so points behind coming out of February.

I think they are teetering mate. If they don't defeat Burnley they're done for me. City will win all of their next 3, unless Liverpool improve drastically (which we won't be able to gage from Burnley) Spurs & West Ham will be very tough. You can win as much as you like at Home, but if you're only 1 win from 5 or 6 away it won't be enough.

What the headline doesnt tell you, and will go over the heads of 99% of reds who are incapable of reading said article, is that the piece actually says a Biden win is bad for FSG as it means taxes doubling as a result on their investment profits.

Not that that's to do with Biden per se. Trump has run the economy into the ground, and the US government needs cash. Expect a squeeze on investment firms.
It seeks to both associate LFC with a 'progressive' President AND smuggle in the fact that LFC's owners want to avoid business tax payments he may impose on them.

Incredible.

Just so the E*C* avoid any confusion....

“We all know it is all about results but sometimes you can see little steps in the right direction or not,” he said. “But it is nothing for you (the media) because you can’t deal with small details. You make them big things. You are not ready for this information."

"You cannot change the approach because everybody who has no real idea about the job expects now massive changes, from the wake-up call to the nutrition, because we don’t have the results. I understand that at the moment in the press conference people think ‘Oh he is so entertaining’ and now they think ‘What kind of mood is he in?’, ‘Does he see reality?’"

He's descending the steps into the Fuhrerbunker.

Its a crucial period no doubt. City should hopefully win the next three (although you can never tell) but in the hypothetical situation that they do then even 7 points Liverpool’s next 3 fixtures leaves them 6 behind going into the game at Anfield. City could legitimately just shut up shop there, take a draw and be quite confident that with 15 games left and no head to head opportunities available for Liverpool they’d be in an extremely good place.

Ideal (and not so far fetched) would be 5 Points out of 9 with Liverpool drawing the Spurs and West Ham away games. City having an 8 point lead at Anfield would be massive.

Kopp on Van Dijk:

“I don’t know what is possible and I don’t think I am the right person to judge it,” he said. “He looks really good and I spoke to him this morning and he is in a good mood but I don’t know when he will be back."

That's a desperate manager placing pressure on his own club's medical team, and the player himself, to get back into the team regardless of probable setbacks over cutting corners on recovery time.

The stink of desperation is oozing out of this feller.

Official Amazon Prime account, don’t they have to pretend to be impartial?

Not really mate, not anymore. Their agenda is to play to their audience, and they judge that to be fans of the big clubs.

Impartiality, and the pretence of it, went out long ago.

If Amazon are looking to gain credibility and presence in a new market for them, from their POV there will only be more of this.

He’s looking for his short term legacy, his recent actions aren’t the ones of a manager there for the long term.

Buying Thiago for 25 mill was purely about just winning this season. He had loads of midfielders and didn’t need him particularly (unlike us with Allan and James when we were desperate for quality at the very start of Ancelotti’s term). He’s injury prone and on a massive wage. Good luck to whoever picks him up in a few seasons when Klopp is gone.

The front three haven’t been refreshed, and don’t even get a game off. He is just running them into the ground, and apart from Jota, he’s leaving his successor with nothing Origi, Minamino, Shaqiri, Oxlade Chamberlain. Very poor backup. I don’t even know if Jota is that good to be honest or just a scored a few winners and then got injured. He didn’t look head and shoulders above the rest at Wolves.

He’s sold their young defenders (metaphorically and physically). Hoever gone, Van der Berg on loan during a defensive crisis, and clearly zero confidence in Williams, Philips or Koumetio. Yet is rushing VVD back along with Matip time after time. Apart from Gomez what is any new manager going to be left with?

The media are going to be vicious in the build-up to the next Derby match and they'll have the ref so on edge as a result that he's going to send our players off just for looking at the Liverpool players

We "ruined" the season and our penance will be an all-time shellacking at Anfield. It's going to be like one of those old wrestling shows where Stone Cold Steve Austin had to fight like 9 men because Vince McMahon had stacked the deck

I'm just hoping Mr. Ancelotti has us mentally set up right for that game, as they are going to try and destroy us, whilst the indulgent media and football authorities will enable them to do so
