ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It's a difficult one isn't it. Here's a thought though, if I'm Liverpool I am quite happy to have him in the box. There's enormous pressure on him to "even" a decision out. I'm not sure I'd have got him out as easily as they may have done.

Yep - I would agree, but he will be there at some stage & I suspect he will still be under the same pressure. My bet is the PL have moved him for logistical reasons as they said. All it takes is another ref with a tight hamstring & they need to move the lists around & their is a logistical knock on.

But that's a bit less of a clickbait tale

I'm not sure the said comment was either being an intellectual or being ironic, just saying they were good spots from the poster in question.

You can obviously believe what you like but it would be very odd to be on a windup about being a teacher wouldn't it?

I'm also a bit lost as to me thanking someone for correcting "ah la" to the French prononciation means I couldn't have been a teacher.

As for an intellectual or being on a windup, it's not really a binary choice, but if you were going to discount one, it would definitely be that I'm an intellectual. I don't think anyone outside of weird RAWK types thinks that, least of all me!
So sorry I hold my hands up if I’ve caused offence. As one of the most prominent posters on here I have built up a view of you that sometimes you contradict. I still don’t get if u are being ironic or is a persona u project. for many years I’ve been on this site and contribute very little (I only got a log in around 12 months ago) but it doesn’t mean I dont invest emotionally in other peoples posts (both positive and negative)

Fair play mate, and honestly you haven't caused offence at all!

I'd say a reasonable amount of what I put is a little tongue in cheek, I wouldn't take it too seriously or get overly invested emotionally, as you will only be underwhelmed haha.

I like the choice of word "prominent" though, I can imagine there will be a lot more unfavourable and a bit more honest descriptions of me than that.

The original contention, if you care to read back far enough, was that Atkinson did not ref any of our games for years after the Rodwell sending off.

Minimiester corrected that.

Let's set out what actually happened, and let's hope people actually understand it.

1. The Clattenberg Derby. Several incidents in that game that we lost 2-1. Moyes was so vociferous about the standard of refereeing after the game that he was charged by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute.

2. The charge against Moyes dragged on for months, since Moyes challenged the charge. Eventually, the FA took no further action.

3. Clattenberg did not ref any of our games for years, although the football authorities were silent about the matter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Atkinson sent off Rodwell as a result of Suarez faking a foul against him.

5. Atkinson continued to ref our games in the normal timeframe of refs officiating the same team on what might be termed a rotational basis in a season.

Now, if anyone cannot follow the above, I feel sorry for them...

To this day I believe that Moyes held back what really happened as to not jeopardise his future managerial opportunities.

The Clattenburg derby was beyond a joke, Clive Thomas was just an arrogant divvy, Poll admitted he was wrong with regards to the last minute disallowed goal. There were so many dodgy decisions in the Clattenburg game, he gave a penalty for a foul outside the box, then gave Hibbert a red after Gerrard spoke to him, failed to give Kuyt a red card, then failed to give us a penalty in the last minute. That's not simply making a bad decision that's blatant corruption.

According to the Daily fail, big Virg has started light recovery training:eek:

it was an absolute nap they’d rush him back early but this can’t be true can it. If there is any club in the world which would make him break down again it’s them.
