Either the DM is wrong - which certainly wont be a first, or they have misrepresented his injury which wouldn't be a first either.

If he did his ACL he isnt back doing anything other than 3-4 months of strength work before even thinking about grass

It's a difficult one isn't it. Here's a thought though, if I'm Liverpool I am quite happy to have him in the box. There's enormous pressure on him to "even" a decision out. I'm not sure I'd have got him out as easily as they may have done.

If that is what happened, then it is actually a clever move by them. While it may make sense to have him in the box to "even it out", there is now a little extra pressure on all officials to favour them, not just one.
