Can't...Stop...Laughing!!!! lol lol lol

When any of the likes of Sadio, Momo or Bobby are dortmundised, then the pressure will be on.

Will the tramp be able to handle the pressure or will he walk like his last job ...

They won the asterisk. Perhaps the pressure is now on to win an actual league title proper?

They'll have made a big big sale on salah or mane when they're pretty much finished. Like they did with coutinho, got so so lucky and helped fund them for the future. Torres was the same, loads of warning signs that he was not the same player, yet Chelsea didn't consider everything and well overpaid for him.

I think they are trying to buffer Salah for that. They have tried with mane but no takers. Both will be 29 next summer so I'm not sure they get mega money for Salah. Maybe 80-100m top end. Could be a lot lower. The financial troubles of Madrid and Barca who would be the obvious candidates but they won't be able to go to that level.

Too old for a mega sale. No one in world football is paying over 50mill for a 29 year old player who relies on pace. Especially if the AFCON might disrupt one of the few years you have left of them. Madrid and Barcelona can buy who they want. They tend to go for players at the age Coutinho it Suarez was at the most, ideally they pick them up like they did for Bale Ronaldo already world class and still mid 20s. They’ll be looking at Mbappe Haaland Sancho Richarlison Jesus to go with their own young talent. They’re not going to be chucking 100 million at Salah Mane or Firmino. Maybe in 2018 but no way in 2021. Liverpool have missed the boat on that sale and are probably hoping those players generate enough cash from winning things to prop up the next big purchase. They’re all on fat contracts though and 40 mill has just been spent on Jota (who is never going to be turning out that level despite his decent start). They’ll have to recruit very well to replace that front three.

It really is the most cringey thing going that. When they leave they want to lynch them though.

Its like the prats who call Johnson "Boris" like he's their mate. None of these millionaires would give them the steam off their urine.
It's an English thing, referring to the PM by their first name or a nickname though - Winnie, Mac(Millan), Ted (Heath), Sunny Jim (Callaghan), Maggie, Tony, Gordon, Call me Dave, Treason and Boris.

Everton are more a socialist club because we have more working class, scouse fans than LFC and all their Southern Tory fans.
As long as Everton try to do good and behave well and continue to do their work for the local community and greater good I hope the club can be apolitical. I'd rather we be known by our deeds than the empty words that lot spout.

Jota actually looks a bit better than I remember but it will be a big ask if some of the others leave.

I mean I do think a lot of the naked greed you've seen from their owners, is in part an acknowledement the cash is running a bit dry.

Whats also interesting, is he has suddenly started resting and rotating the front 3. Read into that what you will.

I think you are spot on. I would guess their long term plan was to sell one this summer for monster money & re-invest younger, but with covid they were never going to get the cash they had planned & banked on going two in a row with current squad.

Seems unlikely now & think the have probably overshot the runway for a big fee. Could find themselves stuck in a barca style old age limbo in 18 months

I think Barca are really desperate (hence the resignation and the alleged sign up to what increasingly looks a football equivlent of Ponzi scheme).

They've deferred lots of payments this summer, which means a lot of next seasons budget has already been spent. Like last summer where they couldn't afford Werner, I'd expect more belt tightening. Privately they are praying to get 100m+ for Salah.

Yep Werner very significant, it underpins the cashflow challanges they have. He was potentially a great signing, wanted by Klopp & good age profile I think & while the fee might not have been an actual problem, the payment terms of a buyout are. They are doing the financial equivalent of putting Christmas on credit cards

Adding a centre half or not in jan will be the true indicator of how much pressure they are under.
