I suspect we share very very similar views on Rio alright and how a professional athlete, or a whole team in the case of man city/Barca, can simply forget about their doping responsibilities are absolutely beyond me.
I think we are on the same page with TEUs, just coming from a different angle, for me they are needed & the examples of bowel issues, migraine or actual asthma should not be a barrier to anyone playing football, but I think there is huge room for improvement to stop the systematic abuse of TUE's that is going on. This could include more declaration, narrowing of this list and stricter time limits.
It is utter madness that a team has 22 asthmatics as reported or that a very well known UK cyclist suffered from the very same hayfever issues the weekend before the tour de france all with a view to abusing TUEs & that's before you get into the likes of Sharapova, which is frankly ridiculous that this kind of systematic doping can be excused through exemptions.
My conclusion is they are needed, but need to be way way more tight & transparent, to try to stop the pure abuse which is riff through Tennis, Cycling, athletics and probably football.
To be honest, Fabinho is a disaster waiting to happen so if that means putting Gomez and Matip in the firing line when they are injury prone, then they could be into converting a central midfielder into that position. Their season could well have fallen apart before Christmas.
Lose one of the top 3 for a game or two which is to be expected, and they'll be off the pace. Sweepstakes on when Klopp loses it and has a good rage through the media?
People keep laughing at the suggestion, but I genuinely believe Spurs will be their biggest challengers.
"Goodbye Holland's bulb...."
People keep laughing at the suggestion, but I genuinely believe Spurs will be their biggest challengers. They’ve chucked some points away yes but they’re still in touch, they have more forward and midfield options than most of the teams in the league, they have a class keeper and a world class manager who has done it before. They also have the europa where they can rotate the team for most games until the latter stages which you can’t do in the CL.
Unless Pep pulls a miracle out I can’t see City challenging when they have no fit striker, their whole team falls apart when De Bruyne is out, and they only have two decent CBs.

Even before the Fabinho injury, their best midfield is him sitting with Henderson and probably Thiago pressing forward. Moving him into defence means that Henderson has to sit deep and their press isn’t nearly as good as Wijnaldum and Keita only seem to like putting effort in in the big games.
Now that Fabinho is injured it will be interesting to see if they move another midfielder back in there. What would really screw them up would be an injury to Trent as they have no cover.

The welsh right back williams looks decent cover for trent,
They are screaming for Linekers head on rawk for piping up in defence of Digne. Saying the media swayed the decision and it’s corrupt.
They have a neck like a jockies bolox. having a go at the media. (A comment from one pundit). They have absolutely no self awareness. One of our players has body guards over them and the media. And they are having a joke about that aswell.
It’s a cliche but ashamed of nothing offended by everything is a strict code they live by.
Also we must be doing something right I can’t imagine last season they would be up in arms over one of our full backs only getting a game ban instead of 3. They probably wouldn’t even know about it last season.
