ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Something fishy going on that's for sure , when things dont go well they scream victim, never known any half decent side carry on like this over one player, they haven't called in so many favours from the media since they got caught out for the racist club they are , I'm beginning to think they are worried about us this season.

As has been rightly spoken by fellow blues, its never nice to see anyone injured, and let's be honest there have sadly been too many absolutely horrific injuries during all of our viewing of football.

Gomez and Coleman's injuries recently for us were much worse than Dykes, resulting in them being stretchered off and on oxygen but it got me thinking of the worst during the Premier Leagues time.

Haaland gets mentioned most but that is partly due to Keane's behaviour but there is a shocking list.

Worst probably Busst. I remember it due to Schmeichel reportedly vomiting at seeing it. Checking Busst had to have 26 operations and never played again.

Cisse had one of the horror leg breaks as did Ramsey, Eduardo, Nils, Ben Arfa, and many others.

Cech's skull being caved in which almost killed him. Similar was Ryan, was it, the lad who never played again?

Mabbutt almost losing his eye.

If there was a list of the worst injuries VVD, sad as his injury is would be nowhere near it. The media circus, however, and the kopitery of the last few days would have those not connected to the sport thinking it was the worst sporting injury ever.
Had a similar injury myself a number of years ago from skateboarding, took a number of operations and various metal bars and plates to sort it and spent a couple of months in hospital at the time learning how to walk again, i can remember it like it was yesterday.

Yes I agree with all of that. If you re a City player now, and you're hearing the entire team and manager are crying themselves to sleep, you suddenly feel a lot better about yourself. Bear in mind City have lost the far better player KDB and there is no such response.

I thought Liverpool played really well on Saturday to be honest, as I expected they would, but what has followed has been really bizarre. They've briefed their friendly journalists to keep making a big point of it. What does it say for Matip and Gomez that this is the response to them having to play?

It all went wrong very quickly for Klopp at Dortmund, around the 5th season. A cocktail of sides working him out, ageing players and the inevitable injuries as a result of his system and lack of rotation/forward planning game to pass. If Liverpool were to fall it would be from a much more secure position and higher height but a similar situation may occur. He plays high risk football, which would lead itself to going quite out of control quite quickly.

I wonder how many of their players just thought they'd annihilate the league again? Whether some of them have maybe got the hunger for a long hard fight again? Whether some of them, approaching 30 want a big contract, with slightly easier demands elsewhere. Salah or Mane could go somene else, be the centre piece of the team, not have to do the running and have the team built around them.

Ajax feels a bit big for them. Ajax are very much in a transition so should be an easy win, but I have a suspicion it may prove a bit more complex than that.

Agree wholly mate, i think the owners there are quite optimistic, callous, have no great love for the club and look at it as moneymaking opportunity for them as opposed to the welfare of the club. I think they lucked out with Klopp, i think hes an awful sportsman, verging on narcissisms, but he obviously has skills as a manager albeit over a very short life cycle - the 3-5 seasons cycle you mention. With all the depleting aspects that you said above, i really wouldn't be suspired to see Klopp walk at the end of the season or the next, the players look elsewhere for that pay day and a low threshold for the owners to cash in at an appex and players hit the 29 - 30's water mark. I see the writing on the wall to be honest.

Where they go in the future is questionable in my opinion, before they got Klopp they were lucky to get into the CL. The owners wont sanction big money there. The only one i could see sustaining things maybe would be Poch, but hopefully he goes elsewhere. Their model is to weighted on Klopp for me and i think will be there undoing.

This is the reality isn't it, I don't want a players career ended but as long as they continue to cry arse about it in the way they have and come up with some of the lunacy we've seen since Saturday I'll continue to revel in it. That's entirely different to being thrilled about the injury itself.
Could do with one of your inspiring graphics to remind us of this injustice
