ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It's getting it's own night on BBC4 once they have obtained enough talking head footage of Aldo to edit into a coherent sentence.
Bloody hell, that might take longer than it takes to get their parade!

I expect their parade of the asterisk will be taking place as the same time as our asterisk from this season at this rate. I view both as somewhat compromised seasons due to the lack of crowds, but at least this one will have uniform rules across it. Not counting my chickens before they've hatched am I?

Glad to see their whole squad is obsessed with it. That’s been us on the end of similar stuff from them for years. Reckless tackles from Gerrard, ridiculous refereeing decisions, bad luck. They’ve had one game of it and want to have a few days of mourning about it. We’re right up in their faces now and we need to stay there all season.

If it was as bad as they're saying, we would have smashed them 8-1,because their players would have been on the floor in tears not concerned with playing. The fact that it had no baring on the match, scoreline and their performance is the biggest indicator that this is pathetic. Our players had to play on having watched gomes' leg dangle in 3 players, that's the stuff of nightmares for footballers, van dijk was able walk all around the pitch and into the car park portaloo. Hardly scarring them for life, but as with salah getting a boo boo on his shoulder and reactinf like a 3 year old at a children's party, it's been blown massively out of proportion.

All their recent success has come down to escaping any injuries and now they can't handle it. City have had to cope with much worse and they just get on with it.

The beauty of all this is every time they concede they will think of us.

You wonder have we uncovered a soft centre other teams will now target.

I think Aston Villa, and before them Watford did.

I am not sure if you are familiar with boxing, I watch a bit but one of the lads I work with is a big fan, and he always says once a heavyweight is knocked out, it makes a massive difference. To how he sees himself, and how others see him. He often cites Buster Douglas and Tyson, and Douglas went for it and showed Tyson was beatable. Once Hollyfield beat him the first time, it was easy the 2nd time and Tyson was not the same fighter.

The mystique kind of goes. I think sides can see, you can play through their press, and if you do, they are quite soft centred. I thought that on Saturday, even though we didn't dominate the game (and in a lot of facets we were dominated) we actually found chances quite easy to come by. Calvert Lewin had 3 shots on goal, plus miss kicked from 6 yards out. Richarlinson hits the post. James has a good effort from the outside of the box etc. All the chances were pretty easy to create, given the general lack of territory or possession.

I am surprised the comments have come out though. It is not the language of an invicible team who believe they are invincible. I'm really amazed they are thinking like that. On paper I still make them big favourites. But it's not what it sounds like from them at all.

Just because of the disgusting reaction from these absolute spunktrumpets, I hope he never plays again.
Nah, I hope he returns to his former health in a speedy and complete fashion. He is good, and it would be a shame that a player at 29 has to forego the best part of his career due to a reckless collision with a keeper. The over-reaction however is appalling and without wanting to sound like we're playing the victim card when we are the sinners as is their normal modus operandi, we need to be pro-active in nipping this nonsense in the bud.

I think most non-rs supporters aren't impressed with the challenges but also realise the reaction is over the top. Own the mistake and then let them pull at the scabs if they want but it will be showing them up for the ratbags they are.

"The worst tackle of this kind I can remember is the Schumacher attack on Battiston. At that time he knocked him out (he was later in a coma), he stopped breathing, had his teeth knocked out and injured his spine. Schumacher completely got away with it. .... Pickford shares similarities"

RAWK with more gold

Jesus christ, didn't he lose a load of teeth too? The comparisons are so far apart

... I mean words fail me
