ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

FSG were coming under pressure for not spending enough before the arrival of Klopp. They made a great decision with him and he’s saved their bacon, by moving the team on without massive backing.

The reality of FSG and the fact they got the club for buttons from the de facto administrators, have put nothing on the balance sheet and have merely run that club using its own cash, will finally dawn on them.

To be fair, they saw what Klopp created at Dortmund, building a team on peanuts, and they got him... They had patience with him and allowed him build a team over time... It's been smart business by them...they also negotiate an amazing deal for Coutinho (day light robbery) and used that money to build the team their manager wanted..

No point spending lots of money, if you don't have the right manager in charge or the right transfer policy... That's what we've repeatedly got wrong until Hopefully now with Ancelotti...

So we can be critical and mocking of Liverpool on lots of things... But sorry this ain't one of those things...

Still pee's me off how we have given Koeman, Alladyce & Silva £450 million to pish up the wall.

I wasn’t criticising them, I said they made a great decision appointing him, but equally they got lucky as it wasn’t guaranteed to succeed without massive investment. What he’s achieved isn’t sustainable long term and certainly not without him.

Last season: Champs league, and PL runners up.
This season: PL champs.
Next season: will be challenging for bought again.

They can cash in any of Salah, Firmino, Mane, VVD, Robertson, Allison, Arnold for a huge profit.... Their youth team players had more hunger than our first team in the FA cup this year and all knew how to fit into Klopps style.... So not sure how long term they have any immediate problems... If Klopp goes who knows what happens, what happens if Guardiola leaves City?...who would Klopp leave for at this point that he couldn't have already done so and get as much control of his team?...

Unless City get the European ban rescinded, and also splash the cash again to sign a backline, I'm afraid the next few seasons are gonna be pretty grim for us...

Sounds easy on paper, but it all comes down to how teams come out the blocks, 1-2 wobbles and panic will set in, especially as City and Spurs will be back up to full strength.

Looking at the list, if we turn up for once, go at them and end the hoodoo and City pick up 6 points from Arsenal and Burnley, suddenly the gap drops to 19. City have the harder game 3 days later at Chelsea but the vermin play Palace the night before, who have previous for upsetting them.

It’s extremely hypothetical but not completely out of the question to think that by the time they play each other on July 1st City could be playing to cut the gap to 13 points with 6 to play
sorry mate, but if you think city are going to win every game and the rs wont win twice, well I've got a lovely opera house in Sydney I can sell you
