ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Here we go again...

The nhs having to deal not just with covid, but with the rs trying to attach themselves to any good pr while trying to make there job harder by pushing for the league to resume and taking valuable tests out of the hands of the people just so they can win the league
pretty much does sum it up yea
#dismeansmore than you #YMCA

Just watched the Arsenal game. I'm only 25 so would you lads around at the time say it was better than crystanbul? Arsenal had a great team there.

The Arsenal game is one of my cherished childhood memories. I think I told the story before on here but I was round my gran's house on Grace Street and she was a massive red, my mother too. My grandad and my uncle are both blues and my dad was there too who has no horse in this race... One half of the room was enjoying a massive gloat all afternoon, the other was sullen and quiet and then it suddenly flipped. My ma was actually in tears had a massive blow up at her own father.

Only downer was when we got home my goldfish was dead.

My brother grew up as a red because of my nan. The rest of us blues becuse of my grandad and dad.
My mum used to drive me to watch Everton when I was a kid.
My brother used to moan that he didn't get taken to the match. This was the only game she took him to. God knows how she got a ticket.
She brought a box of old stuff up for me to sort out and I found the stub. Burst out laughing.
Imagine being a reluctant blue going to that game.

It was easy to get a ticket, I drove to the pit in my dinner hour and got one for my future brother-in-law the day before the game.
On the night of the game I had to leave the pub sharpish as other customers didn’t like me telling my rs mate where to shove his effing double.

You sacrificed your goldfish, didn't you... lol

For our older members, still have a soft spot for Charlie George and his magnificent FA Cup winner in the seventies. Even better the lie down celebration, which later on playing footy with my lfc mates I gleefully repeated after I scored.:)

Was a weird time. I narrowly avoided going the other way when, in another story I've related many times on here, my gran bought me their silver away kit for my 7th birthday in October. Our locker got broken into at Stellens baths when we were visiting my cousins and it got ynicked so my grandad bought me an Everton top and my Uncle got me a Wire top the next day... Come to think of it, maybe the two were connected.
