ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It was gonna be the biggest celebration ever as they went unbeaten and claimed the treble. Now even if they're handed the league it will resemble a damp fart.

Meltdown imminent lol

In 1989, the secratary of the FA, Graham Kelly said in the days after the Hillsbrough tradegy, that the FA Cup will continue. He was slated on tv and the national press ( no social media in those days) for this comment from each and everyone. Im sure Mr Dalglish should take heed of this when he comes out with comments about the current situation and peoples agenda.

At this rate, it doesn't really matter. All joking aside, this virus is going to loom large over public life for months to come and sport is really quite insignificant in the long run. Cancelling the league is pretty much inevitable now and most Liverpool supporters I know, to be fair to them, don't care. They can always go at it again next year, but our loved ones only get one life

He’s an absolute nark just like Souness Rush Carragher Gerrard and Klopp. They all masquerade as the cheeky cool uncle type when everything is going well yet the second they don’t get exactly what they want the mask slips off and reveals the rats they really are.

how can one cult have so many disgusting humans play for them, beggers belief. This isn't hard nut players like roy keane, who could be called any name under the same rightfully. These are horrible, vile, disgusting bitter men.

In the last 10 years they’ve come close to financial ruin because they spent money they didn’t have chasing trophies and required bailing out thanks only to the strength of their name and a desire across football not to see them ‘go under’ as they should have, they’ve ran down Anfield in an attempt to force local residents out their homes, they’ve openly supported racism from Suarez and were ready to defend it again in the Firmino incident which they swept under the carpet, they’ve received transfer bans for tapping up kids, they’ve been caught hacking into City’s scouting system, and they condoned their own fans smashing up City’s bus. Yet despite all this, they’re still the first ones out ready to give a lecture to the rest of the football world on why in fact the he e actually the poor victims of agendas and witch hunts and why everyone should actually support them as their second team.

guilty of tapping up too and that got swept under the carpet thanks to soton being absolutely toothless.

The greatest team in the world ever, reduced to begging online to be handed a trophy they never won.

Out of interest, who would they hand the champions league to under these new “been the best team” rules?

They plan to keep that trophy, in an overwhelming case of not understanding irony. Normally followed by saying it's impossible for City to catch them. Of course it's not impossible (though it is highly unlikely), however it's infinitely more likely than them being able to win the CL.

None of this is about principles for them though. It's about pure greed, and trying to utilise a crisis to maximise the situation for their own ends.

Nope, they paid for 38 games and they should get 38 games or pay nothing.

If you pay for a match ticket I expect to be able to watch 90mins of play not get booted out at half time

On your first point, if the season has to be cancelled we are not getting paid by sponsors/TV whatever happens. We will lose probably 1/4 of revenue. This will be the same if they announce Liverpool as champions or not. Failing to announce Liverpool as champions will have no impact upon this situation.

Carrying on the season may mean we cannot complete next season. This is simple terms means we might get the 1/4 of the seasons money back, but lose anywhere from 1/2 to a whole seasons worth of money. It is compounding a problem not resolving/minimising it. Increasingly we are going to have to switch to this line of thinking. There is a major problem, how do we cause the least damage possible.

As for your 2nd point I think it's in incredibly bad taste. We have a natural disaster here. It's the equivalent of moaning that you didn't get to watch 90 minutes of football at Hillsborough. It's wholly irrelevant when people's lives are in danger.

Hear hear

I'm in two minds about seeing my mum on Mother's Day this Sunday because she's in one of the risky categories and I'd never forgive myself if she caught it off me

There's more important stuff going on in the world right now

I'm getting a bit bored of hearing the "who cares?", "more important stuff" etc. etc. now. Yes, we all know there is. But it's still very very important to me that Liverpool don't get given the title.

It doesn't make me a monster for thinking that way - it just means that I really loathe that shower of mutants and wish nothing but the worst on them from a footballing perspective.
