ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

If they didn’t get awarded the title this season and started next season like they’ve been playing recently (not great) and fell a few points behind City their rage would know no limits.

I think the ones that lurk on here are absolute sad acts

We should see a bunch of them flushed out if the season gets voided

I'm sure RAWK is carefully monitoring this particular thread as well

Hi RAWK, you're all a bunch of tits

:bye:

.

just my opinion on this.sponsors should pay a % simple maths if for example somebody sponsors over the course of a premier league footballing season for £38.000.000 and it gets cancelled now then they should cough up the equivilent of whatever sponsorship they've had which would be 29 matches played from a possible 38 so they should pay the equivilent of £29,000,000.
Nope, they paid for 38 games and they should get 38 games or pay nothing.

If you pay for a match ticket I expect to be able to watch 90mins of play not get booted out at half time

We can put "Duckworth Lewis" down with "net spend" and "xg" on our How to Spot a Kopite pamphlet
Duckworth Lewis is designed for when one team has completed its innings and scored a certain number of runs ('fixtures and points') and the other has been unable to due to weather or other reason for abandoning. It identifies that more runs proportionally are likely to be scored at different phases of an innings and with different numbers of wickets in hand.

Problem applying it to football is that all have played the same proportion of their fixtures (or innings) so it would always simply be whoever has the most points at that time. Not really a system.

I'm sure the loveable rs club, sky, rs echo, will be doing everything in their powers to persuade the FA to let them play a couple more matches behind closed doors, so they can wrap up the title. Every other team in a promotion/relegation spot in all the leagues doesn't matter. In fact, lives don't matter as long as they get what they want.

I suspect that if they offered the fans and club personnel a 1-2% chance of dying within the next couple of months if they didn't leave at half time, then you'd be sitting alone in a darkened stadium with rational people worrying about the money long after they were safe.

We're potentially looking at up to 8 million people in the UK being hospitalised by June and the complete shutting down of all non-essential services. Hopefully no will give a flying you-know-what about the RS being denied the title.
It still want be enough punishment for 1985, but it's a very welcome start.
