ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Yeah once in 30 years, I'd of taken that back then.
Fear it wont be a one off though
Once the media have got it out of their system they'll be back behind United / arsenal etc... all its about nowadays is the massive balancing act to keep all their cash cows happy to keep the monies rolling in year after year - a uncompetitive monopoly doesn't pay in the long run.

Hate them or utterly despise them, in all seriousness, they'll be worthy Champions when the inevitable finally happens. The best side by a distance this season.

Not that their fans can give out such compliments. Whenever Man United won the title it was all down to 'that Fergie having referees and the FA in his pocket', and Chelsea's triumphs were all down to the 'cheque book of that dodgy Russian'. Man City have got similar off the RS fans in recent years.

And they call us bitter!

The media, notably Sky, have always loved ManU and Spurs, imho. The Spurs love-in thing is weird, as their record is winning a lesser trophy every 15 years and they haven’t been champions getting on for 3 generations.

The media is dictated by clicks and subscription fees from a global market now - so a RS, United, city + another from arsenal, spurs and chelsea merry go round is what fills the coffers.... rinse and repeat.
Oh and every 20 years or so let a no mark in on the party to give all the other bottom feeders hope... football in the 21st century.

I’ve seen/heard the phrase “De Bruyne at right back” for TAA. Watching that tonight I can see why. He’s a different level.

Not that I give a rats about England (being Irish), having that weapon (literally and figuratively) at right back makes England a major threat in competitions....caveat being Southgate is in charge.
