Everyone would rather their team won it than anyone else. Pretty much everyone would rather anyone won it than Liverpool. I think that's the point that was being made.

Two things - Liverpool's goals were ridiculously good. When's the last time Man City got blown off the pitch? Liverpool's energy levels are too much for most teams.
Secondly, even though 9 points is a huge gap, its really not insurmountable - its the start of November. Leicester, Chelsea and Man City are difficult opponents, on their day Manchester United and Arsenal could take points off them, and Everton could too depending on how seriously Everton take the derby. There's no way Liverpool play the rest of the way winning them all or dropping very few points. It took a super human effort last year to win all those games at the end.

You could actually hold the key to all this, you know a ref that was on the take and you've wrote to Managers that were affected by decisions by this ref and have actually had relies back from the Managers saying they know he's bent. You need to blow the lid on this.

I saw on SSN this morning that he has the most assists since 2017 in the PL.
He was linked with Arsenal last season iirc.
Seems to be one of those players under the radar, I know he's quick but didn't realise he had that input, I bet his underlying numbers caught the eye of their number crunchers in their Recruitment Dept.
Just look at two things for a midfielder don't they, never gets injured and never stops running.

They have players who are patched up every game (Salah, Van Dijk), a shedload of games coming thick and fast plus cup competitions which means they can hardly rest key players.
