ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The second TAA handball airbrushed from history by MOTD.

They´d rather talk about the cross field passes between Andy and Trent. If that was Liverpool being a denied a penalty, there would have been at least 5 minutes discussion on why VAR needs to be scrapped immediately. Quickly followed by calls from the Echo to have the game replayed.

The fairest and most knowlegeable football fans in the world booing an opposition player (who used to be revered by the same fairest, most knowlegeable football fans in the world when he played for their team) every time he had the ball. How embarrasing is that?

To be fair it works because they´re about the only team he never does anything against.

They have 14 games in 6 weeks, the wheels will come off soon and their physio will be busy soon enough. They won’t keep on winning over that period of games

14 games in 6 weeks really isn't a big deal...

Add to that Sky & BT have sorted them out again this Christmas with their fixtures (same favouritism was shown last Christmas)

Man City play Dec 27, 29 & Jan 1
Liverpool play Dec 26, 29 & Jan 2

Obviously meaning Liverpools Xmas games are spread over an extra 2 days than Citys are...

Hi Roger. Great to see a new blue joining us here on the greatest EFC fan forum on the internet. Why not pop into New Signings and tell us all about yourself and how you came to be an Evertonian!

Because you are a blue and that aren't you? It'd be weird to pretend to be one....some would say pitiful.

I will.

I hate that shower as much as anyone but it's embarrassing. Grown men thinking that's a good shout. It's small time.

Does anyone swerve watching derbies at Anfield now? I've not done it before but think I will this year. I know in football nothing is ever certain but given our injuries and their form I just can't see anything other than 90 minutes of pain.

Also find it hilarious that the derby has managed to fall as a night match in December at Anfield. Chances of that hey.

Form goes out the window, if anything I'm looking forward to this one more than any in the last few years.

And their young fullback, a fellow England international marking him, trying to rough him up at every opportunity without censure from the invertebrate of a match referee. This even extends to him pushing him off the field of play much to their incontinent delight. I suppose the lad is used to that though abroad on international duty... when hes targeted by disgusting backward racists. I presume this is different though... given their special dispensation to do as they like with impunity.

I think that he’s a real blue. Despite suddenly appearing when they go 8 points clear he has 1878 in his username. Despite his first post being a defence of the outrage they committed he’s got 1878 in his name. True Blue. Madonna wrote a song about him.

Not watched one since the 3-3 at Goodison.

Far better for my health, and that is more important than a fixed narrative kick about against the clones.

I really don't know what to make of this sport anymore. VAR hasn't really changed much in regards to Liverpool getting every decision in their favour - whether domestically or in Europe it has always been the case that they are gift wrapped decisions constantly.

What VAR has shone a light on however, is either the sheer incompetence of Premier League officiating - or possible corruption. The decision not to award that penalty today was absolutely disgraceful, just like the Alli one against us it ticked every single box of what a handball is. Arm outstretched? Check. Enough distance to avoid the ball? Check. Arm moves towards the ball? Check.

However unlike the Alli one against us, which took around 4 minutes to decide on, this took about 10 seconds. They had ample time to look at it due to the break in play after the RS goal, but I seriously doubt they even looked at it. The Salah goal as well, it's debatable whether he's offside or not, but it's absolutely not debatable that it was close. How can the one against Sheff Utd yesterday take nearly 4 minutes to overrule yet this one was done in about 15 seconds? I'm pretty sure Sky drew an angled offside line to make it look like he was on, you could tell by the cut of the grass that the blue line they drew across the pitch wasn't straight.

Having said all of that, it's an absolute certainty they win this now. They need to lose 3 games now and even on days where they are going to drop points, like at home against Leicester, a referee will just bail them out. What we are watching is not football, it is scripted entertainment.
Can you help me on this mate, or anyone else for that matter. Was the TAA handball not given because they said there was a handball by Silva just before it? that is what they said on MOM. If this is the case it is a free kick to Liverpool is it not? If so the ref plays advantage and play goes on, but in playing advantage TAA handles the ball, so its a penalty to City. Have I missed something? It is either the scenario I have just given or they're saying TAA never handled the ball, which is ludicrous. His hand ball in the second half was a penalty too.
On MOM they said it would have been a brave man to overturn the Liverpool goal? Whatever happened to getting the decision right.
Please help someone cause I don't understand the game anymore.
